other than Kiradech and Stenson, anyone know who else plays only 2 wedges after the pw? 52/58 seems to be the favored option when its the case. I saw Fleetwood had been using a 52/60 but that seems to have changed recently and he added a sw. I added 2 iron to the bag this year and hoping to to get away with 2 wedges in 2020.

Tiger technically, but his PW is a gap wedge to most of us. 49 PW - 56 Sand, 60 Lob.

If your PW is 44-45 degree, its kind of a jump to 52. 46 and higher isn't a bad jump to 52.

Also depends on what kind of wedge player you are. If you are the type that uses the 58 for almost everything around the green (or you like 52 as well) it works fine.

I think Jimenez plays PW - 52 - 60 or something like that. And I think you will do just fine, I have played with PW - 54 - 60 for 2 seasons now and works fine for me!

My current PW is 47. I play 51/56/61. I'm going to try a 53/57 combo and see how I like it.

I know there’s quite a few players that use the 52/58 combo...a few that I know did but not sure if they changed back are Luke Donald, Hideki Matsuyama, Alex Cejka, Lee Westwood and even Kevin Kisner. I’m gonna experiment with my backup set this year and see how it treats me...if we ever get out there.
