I can't complete a round with Arccos anymore. It seems to get lost within 3-4 holes and cant recover. Today all of the sudden I would see 6-7 records of the same swing and the distances weren't showing up on my watch. Completely bummed my round at pebble was totally lost on the system. Anyone else having similar problems and have any solutions?

Thanks, Eric

Sounds like you’re using an Apple Watch instead of just a phone in the front pocket? I looked into doing this for simplicity, but what I read in reviews didn’t sound like it was perfectly streamlined yet for operating on the watch.

I’ve used the system for 20+ rounds now, all with phone in pocket, and the only issues I have with it are tap in putts not registering, so I’ll have to add in a putt here and there.

I know it’s a pain, but try going back to using a phone in the front pocket. See where that gets you.

I actually tried this today and it mostly worked. I ended up using golf shot+ on the watch and Arccos in my pocket. Disappointing in that the watch used to work fine.

That is disappointing, seems like Arccos has some more work to do on their end.

    now this: https://www.arccosgolf.com/blogs/community/arccos-caddie-app-targets-pins-adds-android-wearables

i wonder if it means this capability won't be available on the apple watch?

Out of curiosity what version of Apple Watch do you have? I have a Series 4 (2018 model with GPS and LTE).

I was *this close* to buying the 360 sensors (currently 20% off from Arccos) before they switch to the subscription model in large part because of the Apple Watch functionality (since I'm not keen on having my phone in my pocket during rounds) but now this thread has me scared.

Were they working well with Apple Watch at some point but some recent updates have messed them up? In that case I'm hopeful that they will get it sorted back out again.

Although I guess I can give it a shot regardless since I'm planning on ordering direct from them and they have a 30 day money-back guarantee on direct purchases...

There appears to be a work around for this, as I had the same problem, you need to go into your settings and set location service to never for Arccos and then save exit re-enter location services for Arccos and set to always and then reboot your phone. It then works fine. Stupid but it appears that the updates have caused this. I would recommend your follow this process for all future updates just to be sure

Everything seems to be working well again except for the watch. If i use apple watch, then it misses most of my shots.

if i enable the apple watch, it misses a lot of shots. if i just use the iphone in my pocket, it works as expected.

Looking at the Shot Scope V3 I believe Arccos needs develop their own watch. I only use the Arccos with my phone and have no issues with missed shots but, I do have to go back and clean up my putts. With all of the new updates to the app (Range finder, weather, etc) it would be more useful just to have their own watch to display properly.

I feel like the use of the microphone is a flawed approach. It prevents use of other devices and not every shot makes a loud enough (putter, wedge) sound to be heard by the phone in your pocket or Watch. The Apple Watch option doesn't appear to work and I don't like having my phone in my pocket. Given all the variables that need to be factored in (practice shots, post shot swings, putts), there doesn't appear to be an easy solution. I like having the ability to track a round but it needs to be more accurate and seamless.

I had it and used it for 2 seasons. It is good to look back but you can do the same by just writting it down. It does get lost on some holes that you need to put in manually. It is back in the box.

once again: shot detection with Apple Watch works really great. No need to put the the phone in the front pocket.

I have never had any issues. Maybe your watch does not work properly. You did not tell us which AW generation you are using. BTW: AppleWatch shot detection does not work with arccos sensors of the first generation.

Just to clarify, with the watch you don't need a phone in your pocket. I don't have the watch, and don't like watches, but I do have a fitness band and could switch it out for the watch. I was really hoping the Arcoss link would be out by now as I don't like the phone in my pocket and it seems to struggle at times with putts.

Correct, the phone doesn't need to be in your pocket with the watch. You do have to start your round on the phone, select watch detection and then open the app on your watch.

I need to do a bit more experimenting but had a mixed round with the watch over the weekend at Torrey South.

Had no issues with shot detecting using the watch but my watch battery (started off at like 95% when I teed off) got killed off after about 10 or 11 holes (didn't notice exactly when it happened). I have a Series 4 Apple Watch with Cellular so I think it may have been killed by the cellular being on since the cell reception out at Torrey did seem spotty on my phone as well. Hopefully if I just turn cellular off in the future I can avoid that issue.
