I’m leaning white lite stand from vessel myself. The white does have full length dividers as some of the colors do not for whatever reason. I confirmed that with vessel customer service

So far so good here. I'm in Palm Springs right now, flew down here with the CEL in my soft case (which i had never used before btw), and went to the range once with it and played one round and will play one more tomorrow. Although ironically the courses I'm playing are cart-mandatory so the CEL has and will be riding. Which worked fine. If you have specific questions let me know but i'm happy so far....

How are the straps? Do they seem large enough? At first glance, they seemed smaller than the straps on my current bag (an L8 from a few years ago).

Unfortunately I haven't given the straps a true test of walking a round. Just to and from the car...I do think Ping could have spent another half pound on the straps or whatever as they do seem quite thin... But so far when carrying, the load appears to be light enough that they are adequate.

Looks like those would be sufficiently comfortable. They look real similar to the Sun Mtn 2.5+ straps. They seem too thin at first since we're used to thicker straps, but then when the loaded bag is considerably lighter the straps do their job and the lower profile makes them easier to take on and off.

Why do none of the stand bags have dividers that go all the way down? Even the 5 way divider only goes down about 10” into the bag. I’ve got an old Hoofer that I’ve really enjoyed but that’s the ONE thing about the bags I hate. My clubs always get criss crossed in the bottom of the bag.

 

When will PING figure that out?

Its because of how their base is integrated with the bag stand release. You can't have full length dividers with their stand mechanism.

I received my Hoofer Tour over the weekend. Seems like a very well made bag. I'm not sure it'll be my carry bag though. I can see myself using this as my push cart bag or for traveling when I know I'll be riding. Wish it had the cart strap pass through.

Cool, how much does it weight? I was also thinking about making it a cart bag, a Ping tour bag that can fit properly into a Clickgear.

btw. Ping Canada hinted they could maybe "add this bag into the line-up in the future" so maybe this bag could be available outside US also in the future.

Sorry about your goose poop situation. My club always gets coots and ducks in the winter. Superintendent realized last year that they like to eat the grass on the greens so he started dumping seed and clippings off on the backside of the lake so that all the coots go over there instead of pooping all over the greens. Worked pretty well.

How are the legs/stand on the CEL. Any leg droop when walking?

No problems with the legs whatsoever so far. Again though, I still haven't walked a round. I've just gone to the range, done the non-walking round in Palm Springs, etc. So probably I've engaged the legs like 30-40 times so far. Plus the bag has been stored in my basement with the legs engaged. So in that amount of usage the legs have been solid. I like this bag a lot.

Just received my hoofer, pulled it out of the box, put my clubs in it and went to deploy the legs and the mechanism is broken. It just slides through the bottom of the bags and the legs wont fold out. I haven't had a hoofer for several years but the quality doesn't seem as good as the older ones. The only way to get the stand to work is put the wire for the stand between the fabric and hard plastic bottom of the bag. Not sure if this is where it's supossed to be but if it is this is a very poor design and poor quality. Going to have to return it.

I have seen it in person and it is much more like the L8 from 3-4 years ago than it is like a Hoofer Lite. It has a noticeably smaller opening 8 or 8.5 instead of the Hoofer Lite's 9.5, significantly smaller pockets too. I thought the straps felt a bit thin and cheap compared to my Hoofer Lite and the material did not wow me. I put my full set of clubs, range finder, balls from my Hoofer Lite into the CEL and while it was definitely lighter, the much thicker, better padded straps in the Hoofer Lite added up to a more comfortable carry bag--and I walk most of the time. I also thought I would love the CEL but did not. I'll stick with the Hoofer Lite--if I wanted something real lightweight I'd probably get the new Moonlight

Very underwhelmed with the colour options in the UK - had my eye on a Navy L8 with no logos but not available...

 

Found a K56 on eBay for £50 delivered, hopefully it's in as gooder condition as the pictures suggest because it was my favorite bag I've owned.
