So, I was watching the Waste Management Open this Sunday. I noticed An Byeong-hun had some ugly looking putter and missed basically every putt he hit on camera. I wake up this morning to Taylormade introducing this thing to the masses. Hard no from me.

I am by some definitions an engineer, and you are pretty bang-on accurate there. You would think if this actually did anything they might add it to a driver that moves at a 100mph for stability, but nope.

There could be or I wouldn't discount a possible weight distribution benefit, but I might question why such a benefit could not be realized in a less-ugly fashion.

It better do something special, it is definitely ugly. I’ve gamed the Edel E-1, E-3 and the Directed Force. I really took grief over the Directed Force and rightfully so because it was huge and looked like a branding iron. I dealt with the grief because I felt there was some science behind the idea. Not this putter, Im the not so distant future the Truss will be on the ugliest golf club thread.

Not supporting the name but who cares?? When you drain a 12 footer to shoot your low round on 18...is that random stranger you got paired with going to ask you or care what the name of your putter is?

I don't see how its really that much worse than Exo or Marxman or Zing...so on and so on.

God i would play any club with any name if it helped! Just say you have a TM putter blade thing and boom off you go.

Alex Etches tried to do a review on this thing and how it was a lemon. He loves it. Said its best his putted!!

I am not sure if this has been brought up, but Titleist had a putter called Dead Center that is basically the same design. The Truss concept isn't exactly a new one. ?

It's almost like they never do any focus-group testing. They just throw stuff out there and see what sticks. TM always seems to have some absolutely killer clubs in its lineup, but also a bunch of forgettable or regrettable junk. And no company is more comically over-the-top in its product/marketing claims. They're all guilty but TM is the king of Mount BS.
