Expensive Golf Clothing you sprung for and were pleasantly surprised with.

I’ll have to add another vote in favour of lululemon. Their pants, shorts and polos are great. The abc slim pants might be the most perfect clothing item I have ever purchased. I even picked up a couple down jackets this year to wear in cold weather. Their stuff is worth every penny especially when you consider their warranty.

I also want to give an honourable mention to JL. I have shirts with dozens of wears. They still look brand new. The collar hasn’t changed shape by even a millimetre and neither has the rest of the shirt. No fading whatsoever. They don’t cheap out on their fabric.

I am a big fan of the lulu pants, however I just came across a new line that target started to carry that are almost identical to the abc's. For $40 I'm not sure there is a better deal out there. There is only one style as of now, but there are several colors. Worth a look if you are a fan of lulu considering they are a third of the price.

Another vote for Lululemon pants. Incredibly comfortable, good fit, good material, good construction and a great warranty.

I've been tempted to pull the trigger on Greyson Montauk pants and joggers, how would you compare them to Lulu pants? That's all I wear on the course if I have to wear pants, but I like cuffed joggers and I'm hoping the Montauk joggers are just a good if not better than Lulu pants, please and thank you!

Had a chance to try on the new Target line yesterday. For my money I like the Old Navy pants a little better, but the Target pants appear well made. Lululemon is still better overall, but a lot more money. For golf, I’d go with the less expensive options. For other use (work, weekends, etc) I’d go with lulu.

the Target t-shirts in the new line are nice, the crew neck sweatshirt was also good. The Target polo, to me, was terrible. Didn’t like the fit or the material at all as compared to other options.

A Peter Miller double stripe stretch polo. I wanted to give it a shot and it’s the most comfortable golf shirt i own.

RLX and Dunning polos never dissapoint. Not crazy expensive but high quality stuff. Bought a rain gear from Nike 10 years ago that I thought it was a fortune, $275 I think. Worth every penny, still wear it during winter and black color never faded.

I’ve become a huge fan of basically anything Peter Millar. It also “helps” that my club basically only stocks Peter Millar stuff now. I love their shorts and polos and pullovers.

I’ve wanted to like the Lulu stuff for so long, but it just doesn’t fit me right. Instead, the Tommy Bahama boracay 5-pocket pants fit me perfectly, and they are extremely comfortable. I now won’t buy anything else, basically.

Finally, not so much golf related, but Mizzen and Main button-ups are the bees knees. I’m set for a while there, but if I need another I will look to Mizzen and Main. But per Phil, you could play in them if you so chose...

Peter Millar polos. I picked up my first one in the Kiawah Island Ocean Course pro shop a couple years ago, and I love it. Then I picked up another when I went back again this past year. Very lightweight material, and the collar is the way I like them.

Also, been pleased with the Travis Mathew Beck shorts. Picked up one, and had to get two more.

Bonobos also has excellent dress clothes. During the huge 35% off 15% cash back sale, bought a suit, top coat, 3 dress shirts and 3 silk ties for $1200, $600 out of pocket. The clothes fit like a tailor came to the house

I used to buy Bonobos frequently. Since I tried the Banana Republic core temp pants, I stopped buying Bonobos and switched. I like the Banana Republic fabric better. Also, the Banana Republic come in one inch waist increments and they have them fo $50 every couple months.

Have not found a better or more versatile pant.

P.S. the Holderness & Bourneis my favorite golf short right now. Nice cut, nice fabric, and holds shape well.

CMF4G2EJ52MO.jpgPretty pricey as far as T-Shirts go, but the fabric is great and the printing holds up to many washings. I have several of the collection, and other than a self-inflicted would to the El Chappo's Taint one they have proven super durable.

Although purchased on sale so they weren't quite as expensive I recently purchased half a dozen Stitch shirts and I am pretty blown away by them. Fit, fabric and packaging all first class. Sure you can buy cheaper stuff out there, Old Navy, Target etc. They all make serviceable pieces but what I find is when you spring for the more expensive stuff A) It lasts longer and B) there's more consistency garment to garment with the fit. I've got 5 pair of the Old Navy Slim Go-Dry Built-In Flex Performance Pants and while I think they are every bit as good as Lululemon paints for 1/4 of the price I probably had to go through 4-5 orders and returns to get the pairs that fit correctly. And they aren't even the same sizes. I think a few are 34/32, one may be a 33/32, i think one may be a 32/32. So I have to calculate is it worth saving the money to go through the hassle or am I willing to spend a little extra knowing I can order something and what I get is what I expect.

I bought a few Zero Restriction jackets and layers a few months ago. Great alternatives to bonobos, which is where I usually buy my golf stuff since I have a hard time finding clothes that fit me well. The sleeve cuffs are awesome, which might sound weird, but I can't stand when cuffs get stretched out and you have to constantly pull them up.
