Malbon Golf?

I have a few items. I'm a fan of their products and their mission, which, as I understand it, is to make golf cool and accessible. You definitely pay a "streetwear" upcharge, but I've been happy with everything so far.

I don't know much about the company. How are they making golf "accessible". Do they sponsor an initiative (eg. First Tee) with some of the proceeds earned from the sale of their gear?

I think "accessible" is a misleading term for their mission. I believe their mission is to make golf cool and bring attention/exposure to the game to a broader audience in a streetwear platform. I think they do a good job of promoting the game to a more younger/urban/skate demographic, which if you watched the interviews on the front page, I'd say you'd conclude too. I think their clothing is kind of overpriced, but I also buy Supreme, KITH, Palace and other high end streetwear so I don't have room to complain about that. It's really good quality and you pay for what you get. While I probably wouldn't wear Supreme or another streetwear brand's shirts, other than a hat, while playing, I feel I can wear a Malbon tee or sweatshirt and not feel out of place. I think one of their tees or hoodies with some chinos and Jordans would fit right into my normal fall golf wardrobe anyway, but that's just my everyday style (definitely not one who likes to wear polos a lot unless necessary to play but I'm on munis 99.9% of the time). Either way, I think its great for the game and I definitely will support them when I see something I like.

I picked up the new puma/malbon shoes the other day and I was very reluctant to pay the price, but I hadn't really seen many spikeless shoes that I loved. I eventually decided to keep them and took them out on the course today. Wow! They are so damn comfortable and I went out for lunch and beers afterward and kept them on. I will have to spray them a couple times this fall with the suede but I'm a fan. I have been wearing Nike golf shoes (recently went through my 4th pair of TW 14/15's) for many years and finally decided to switch. Glad I did.

I like a lot of their stuff and bit the bullet on a hat a while back. It was not cheap and it was ordered on 8/31. It had not shipped until I called them today. I had to actually call their store in LA, because they don't have a phone number listed for customer service, only an email. I emailed their customer service twice between the 31st and today and it was radio silence. They told me they have been swamped and not able to reply to emails. IMO that is brutal customer service. I'm not sure if the hat would have ever shipped had I not sought out the phone number of their storefront. I'm not going as far as to say not to order from them but keep on them if you do and your item does not ship right away.

Its a pretty small operation from my understanding so I can get why it would take 10ish days to ship, not to mention they're a fairly brand new brand. Those operational efficiencies take time, and CS, while it should be a high priority, is usually put on the back burner in an effort to just get things out the door. Hell, when I buy Supreme stuff it takes them 10 days to process and they've been around for two decades and have drops weekly. I get where you're coming from, but its not really uncommon in the streetwear industry to have that long of a wait.
