They have been running a cool sale all week on instagram; relatively unknown for me until I started following on IG. Some really cool putters he is putting out.

I was lucky enough to grab the Newport 2 style with Damascus insert and raised site dot they posted a pic of beforehand. Just got it and the quality is top notch. Reminds me of Lamb's early putters with the cool inserts.

Defintiely check them out and give them a follow. All the putters they have been selling this week drop on IG at 2pm CST

More and more of these types of putter companies popping up and they all do really cool work. Like the OP said I come across a lot of them now that I’m on Instagram. Seems like they are machinists first and then bring that talent to the putter world, which makes the collecting a lot more fun!!

I agree that he does great work. I am turned off from the whole instagram cred thing though. For example, I sent an email asking about a putter quote. No response. If I had an active IG account that promoted golf, would I have received a reply? I know it is not just him, and it is other manufacturers as well. This is the new "word of mouth" in the digital age. The influencer scene is not my cup of tea.

I agree, the work is (mostly) great but I'm turned off by the whole Instagram cred and limited release that sells out in 5 seconds. Plus from the prices I've seen people are paying $1500+, I just don't get it.

Hope to be the next Tyson lamb in the collector market. His first putters were 12-1500 and the early ones now probably go for 3-5k

Logan makes a nice looking putter but his customer service has got to improve. I ordered a custom putter from him and I asked for a sight dot alignment aid, I wasn't in any rush for the putter but I checked in with him throughout the process and he kept telling me he was backed up and would check in with me the week before the putter was going to be done to finalize all the details. Randomly one day, I show up into my office and the putter box is sitting on my desk. Even though he never reached out to me to finalize, I was super excited to open the box and see the putter. Instead of a sight dot alignment aid, he had done a top line so I was pretty bummed. When I reached out to him, I told him the putter looked great but it didn't have the alignment aid I ordered. His response was "I'm glad you like the putter" and completely ignored the fact it wasn't the way I ordered it. I continually reached out to him for a few weeks asking him if he wanted me to send the putter back to he could build another and make it right and got hardly any response. Finally he sent me some long winded response that essentially said he was really busy building so many putters and he didn't see anything that he did wrong. He never once offered to make it right for me or honestly even admitted that he made a mistake.

I ended up trying the putter and I just don't agree with a top line alignment aid so I ended up selling on here for a couple hundred dollar loss.

He makes nice looking putters and the putter felt pretty nice as well but it was hard to look past the mistake he made and then making no effort to make it right for me. I could have been a long term customer had everything worked out but now I'll never buy another thing from him. Hopefully he'll learn some customer service a long the way, he's really young so I can only hope he'll get better with time.

I've had a similar experience with Logan. I ordered a putter from him before he really even took off - Jan/Feb timeframe last year. Was very responsive when first ordering and quoted me 4 weeks (aggressive to most standards...but this was before his rapid growth). 10 weeks later and constant reaching out...I got my putter. The finish was completely off, the edges were still rough from the mill, completely messed up my stamping and cavity design. I went as far as providing him with a photoshop'd esque visual in my original order to go off on...He went off the grid for without response....pretty disappointing. Putter still sits untouched and unfinished.

Not something anyone wants to hear or read, customer service is always important regardless of how talented one is at their craft. The fact that his instagram pictures show such high quality work, but others are receiving their custom putters finished sub par of their expectations is concerning.

I asked for a cherry dot with his circle L inlay in the cavity. The text on the face was supposed to be completely vertical and “dancing” letters. Oh and the face was supposed to be brushed stainless like the sole and bumpers?

Doesn't seem like the sort of quality you should get for $1500+. I have seen plenty in the $500-600 range that look better.

Totally forgot about this haha...he originally messed up my order (the only in progress pic I received)...I corrected him on it and he acknowledged it. In the end he fixed the face and flag but not the stamping.

Man what's up with all these hot new up and comers with awful customer service? Seems like if you're a small 1 man operation and sell putters over 1k you don't know what customer service is.

Would like to chime in an alternate experience with Logan. While it did take a while, I think he was just over-aggressive with his initial timeframe for delivery. By the time I ordered it, I wasn't in a huge hurry so wasn't a big deal anyway.

Now I didn't have anything super specific I was looking to have done, I gave some general direction. What he delivered was surpassed my expectations. Fantastic work and I'm really excited to get it on the course this spring.

I’m with you. I have a custom order Lajosi that I placed recently that I can’t wait to get my hands on.Glad to hear it! It’s clear that the dude has talent and can make a beautiful putter - just wanted to share my unfortunate experience.

I’d recommend Lajosi personally. His Sensor and DD201-WB putters are beauts.

The sensor looks really nice! Have a Byron Morgan 620 on order right now so so should probably hold off on any putters for a little while. Olsons stuff looks so good though

Ugh this thread is depressing. I ordered mine from Logan in early February. He responded to emails within hours getting my order done. Even followed up with me via email when I hadn’t responded in over a couple days. After the order was placed, I’ve reached out several times And it’s been weeks since a reply.

 

Its disappointing to say the least when a business is more concerned with initial customer contact than long term retention. Makes having a successful business model very difficult

This is why I will probably buy another one from Goodwood before anybody else. As much as I want to try an Olson I speak to Goodwood occasionally. He replies quickly and is extremely helpful even about Scottys and refinish things etc etc. All around nice guy and great to deal with!

So, I got my Olson custom putter like 3 days after writing that comment (I think the Olson office must have my WRX account pinged haha). I gotta say, it was worth the wait. Would I stand in line to order another knowing it would take just as long? Time will tell. However, the putter is incredible, the stamping is exactly as I requested and I have a totally customized putter. Its not overly "boutique" which, was something I wanted to avoid. Took ideas from several putters I love and put it into my own. Definitely happy with it!

I bought this putter on the secondary market last week so obviously I didn’t go through the ordering process to comment but..

genuinely the nicest putter I’ve ever owned. Sits PERFECTLY square (amazing how rare that is). Balances right on the alignment dot. Feels absolutely incredible.

Hopefully I’ll be able to get a custom one done in the future!
