Have hit the new BX and BXS - definitely an improvement in cover feel from last year. Not that the previous BXS wasn't a great ball, but the BX was way too hard (my driver SS is around 110). The new balls from what I've seen on a launch monitor are nice, and the new BX felt only a touch firmer than the last BXS. Can't say I'll jump over to them from the TP5 since I have several dozen of them on hand, but Bridgestone would be my next choice for sure.

I am in the same boat as you. Driver SS ranges 110-113 and I needed a ball change when I got fit last year. Ended up coming down to TP5X and BStone BX. The BX just felt like a rock and I prefer a firmer ball. Performance for me was pretty close between the two balls but I could not get over the harsh feel. I also have about a dozen TP5X remaining and if the reviews are positive I may give a dozen or two a shot for a bit and see how it goes. But the TM balls really are good, I have made a few ProV1 users try them and they have switched.

Really excited but confused as a 96 moh driver swing and a picker (less than perfect swing) golfer WHAT THE HELL BALL DO I USE TO REPLACE MY PRO V1?

Probably one of the RX models. If you want more spin, RXS. More distance and less spin, RX.

Thanks. The ball fitting tool keeps recommending the non RX models and they don't have ball fitting events up for 2020 in the Midwest yet. Thanks.

I found that the new on line fitting tool seems to suggest the B-Stone equivalent to the ball you are currently playing. If I list a z-star at 104, it suggests the XS. If I list the BRX, it suggests BRX with only current ball being changed.

At 96, I think you’ll find a sweet spot with one of the RX models as tbrumbeloe13 suggests.

That is my experience in general with the fitting tools of all the companies, unless you're currently playing just the most egregiously wrong ball for you on the planet.

Not sure if it’s the new cover technology, a core adjustment or both... but the B X is no longer a marble. I could not get over the feel of the previous versions of B X but the 2020 is the softest version by far.

Same. I will give the new line a shot, but am skeptical that the feel has changed that drastically. Very interested to see how the X and XS play.

Count me in as well! Love performance of BX but hard to get past the feel on the driver. Just feels “heavy”.

Did you compare to the BXS? I’m wondering how either of those compare to the AVX. The low launch characteristics of that ball seems to really help me.

I did not try the BXS. The low spin characteristics of BX is why I enjoy this ball, so never gave it's spinny brother a run. Also, I have never played AVX, just V1.

According to the TXG test they've made some changes and it's spinning about the same off the driver as the X

so the x is softer like the xs was and the xs spins less like the x .... soooo .. they perform the same? don't get me wrong i used the tour b x all season .. plan to stay with the brand just wondering should i give the xs a shot now?

I would say it's close enough now that you can pick one of the two based off of how much spin you need with your wedges. I will stay with BX because the firmer balls tend to launch higher off of the driver.

The only thing I haven't really heard about is the cover durability. No BS, I'm finishing up the last of my BXS stock and someone did make a thread about how long their BXS ball would last. The cover was absolutely solid. Easily the most robust for a "tour urethane" model. I'd say equal to the ProV1 and Z-Star which both just held up very well through the rounds. So, I'm looking forward to learning about the new product more. .

The 2020 BX is softer than last years BX; but not as soft as last years BXs or this years BXs.

The 2020 BX and BXs have similar driver spin. However, the BX is slightly longer because it’s a firmer faster ball.

The 2020 BX spins less with mid and short irons when compared to BXs. (Some are saying 2020 BXs has more mid and short iron spin than any ball on the market)

Like with driver, BX and BXs have similar green side spin. However the BXs still has more.

I've been playing the 330s and xs for the past couple of years. Tested the x last season as well. The xs is an awesome ball, but I agree was getting a little too much spin on my driver and 3 wood. The issue I had with the x was the feel on the short game. Felt a little too firm on delicate pitch shots and off of the putter face. Off the driver and fairway wood it felt great. Very intrigued in trying the new xs.
