Doesn’t mean much without seeing the dispersion circles. It’s just an average of 0 which means could’ve been 10 yards left and 10 yards right, averages to 0.

Thanks for the tip. I assumed Ping slid the Cushin to the spot in each iron where the swingweight would not be affected...and would verify ; ) If that is only by request, I will make sure to do that.

Did you notice any difference in the weight/feel of the irons you used in your fitting versus the irons that were delivered (with Cushins)?

Yeah, I assumed the same thing but I was told that to be safe you should always specify the swing weight to ensure they are double checked before they are sent out.

To be honest, I didn’t even get fit for the set. I have been fit a number of times and I’ve never changed specs over the years. I have just stuck with the same shaft and lie angle (in degrees, not up or down per brand.). The only set I’ve tried with and without the Cushin was the iblade. Unfortunately, they were not the same shafts so it wasn’t really an apples to apples comparison. The set that felt a lot better to me was the KBS Tour Stiff+ with the Cushin insert and the set that felt more harsh was with S300s without Cushin inserts. Not sure what to make of that because KBS is my normal shaft and the S300 always feels more harsh to me. Sorry, this just isn’t a good comparison to provide you real value. For me, I don’t see myself ordering a set without the inserts. For the minimal up charge and the benefits (real or perceived) and the added weight (I like heavier clubs) - I will keep adding them to my sets.

If I move from Modus 105S to 120S it's a change from 107g to 114g in listed shaft weight...but if I don't get the Cushins this time it will really be a move from 117g down to 114g since my current 105s have Cushins. I will likely get them because I am looking for more weight and battling golfers elbow so taking the Cushins away seems like a bad idea.

Your KBS Tour Stiff+ with Cushins are actually 5g heavier than S300 so the harshness is likely just a feature of the S300. I have always thought S300 were harsh relative to any Nippon shaft.

The G410 7 iron is basically a 6 iron (30 degrees). The i210 7 iron is 33 degrees. The i210 6 iron is 29.5 degrees...or almost the same as the G410 7 iron.

Whats really interesting is that between the Blueprints and G710, the roll out difference was only about 2 yards. With all the talks of ridiculous spin differences and loft jacking, 1200RPM difference between highest spinning and lowest spinning, with apex difference of 3 yards, and 2 yards roll difference while gaining 27 yards of carry seems like a cool trade-off for averagers like me.

@GolfMonster09 Would love to see the dispersion mapping on all these. I think it would really help show the performance of each iron versus just looking at the numbers.

I respectfully disagree here. I think the ball flight data answers a lot of those questions. The lofts were strengthened but the peak height and landing angle stayed relatively similar across the board. Something must be going on with the club head design to allow for this. We dont have a dispersion pattern to see how much control was given up but I think in the hands of somebody as good as the OP, what the club manufacturer said is true.

Hi.

Questions, comments. Numbers are the average of all 15 shots per club, good and bad?

Interesting that you had draw spin on all the blade irons, less offset. Fade spin on the more offset irons, not that the i500 is more offset, with more slice correction designed into the 410 and 710.

Any reason that the i500 and 410 had such a big miss right for you?

Don

I respectfully disagree with you as well..the lofts were up to 5 degrees in variance..that’s a full club traditionally...as sets used to have 4 degree gaps throughout....do I think the g710 clubface is hotter?..absolutely...do I think 5 degrees less in loft compared to the blueprint makes a big difference?..absolutely as well

The first dispersion number is total dispersion left to right for carry yards, the second is left to right for total yards including roll. Looking at all those numbers the I210 and G410 had the tightest left to right dispersion. Those numbers are helpful but don’t really tell the whole picture. Left to right dispersion is more reliant on the golfers swing. The real dispersion numbers that matter are front to back dispersion. That will tell how “forgiving” a club is on mishits, basically how much distance is lost when not struck out of the sweet spot. Skytrak doesn’t output this number directly but can be seen on the dispersion mapping.

I can post the dispersion circles later this evening. Testing indoors it is a bit harder to hit it "straight" so the left to right might be off but the front to back numbers should be good.

I know what you mean, I have a Skytrak myself and it's in a smaller area. I dont really even look at the screen to aim anymore. I have a line on my hitting mat that's parallel to the Skytak I use for alignment.

Really curious to see what the front to back dispersion looks like from model to model. Thanks for the update.

3 years ago I was testing i200 and G400. I was hitting the G400 7 iron 190-200 yards and I just could not bring myself to getting used to that distance. It sounded and felt great. I preferred the more standard distance of the i200 and the feel and sound was great even coming from forged clubs with my previous set. Still playing the i200's and I don't see a need to change them just yet. Thanks for the data!

Very nicely done and appreciated; timely as well considering I’m going to demo some iBlades and i210s today. For reference, what’s your normal ball flight? Asking, as someone mentioned earlier about the low offset clubs going left and those with more offset going right.

Such a great thread! Thanks for posting. Just an FYI we repurposed it on the front-page and added links to this thread in our trending links in the forums.

Also in the dispersion circles looks like the G410's had good results. Coming from a blade that is impressive IMO. Hard to jump from a blade to a GI and flush it right away. At least for me it is.
