Man, every time this thread pops I get excited that someone, somewhere, was able to sneak some info out of their R&D. But I guess I'm just resigned to wait until August.

August seems like an odd time of year to release clubs. A lot of people are well into the golf season by then and have their bags more or less set. Feb/March seems ideal, when people still have time to do a lot of testing.

If Cleveland dropped a forged wedge stateside , I’d be a srixon/Cleveland bag setup in a SECOND used to have a Japanese CG15 forged set and it was so awesome, played those for 2 years straight.

Errr..10 days later. Srixon has released in late summer the last 6 years at least. We may hear more in May, but Srixon is pretty tight lipped until June/July. Just following the last trends. I am sure if someone gets insider information, and is able to tell it will be promptly posted here.

Titleist, Ping, Srixon, Mizuno, and Wilson have different release cycles than Callaway and Taylormade.

srixon is pretty tight on their releases. Any info will probavky come out in June/July. Iirc they have their annual sales meeting in June.

I’m intrigued by their FL (flatter lie) driver that Lucas Glover is using, found a couple on the bay.

I doubt they’d ever release it to retail, maybe they could make an additional adapter or something.

Ive been playing the FL driver Z785 and 3 wood f85 and they are awesome! I never liked the retail version for some reason but I do like these

More companies should make woods with flatter lie angles. Not every golfer needs help fighting a slice.

Someone on eBay right now is selling a few different, numbered 745 prototype drivers. Clearly different face shapes. Fixed hosels. Pics aren’t the best for determining body shapes, so tough to say how much they vary there. Probably also going to have flatter lies than whatever the retail ones ended up being.

They’re cheap enough I’m tempted to pick one or two of them up, but I need more projects like I need more holes in my head. Anyway, kind of cool, and might want to check them out, for curiosity’s sake if nothing else.

Played the 745 945 and 785 all are fantastic. 945s my favorite but aged out and needed the help in the 585 4-6 irons with 785s at the top for more distance. SRIXON irons are remarkable and don't even bother looking anywhere else
