Hmm. They are close but the SIM max seemed to launch a bit higher. Not a huge difference though.

Anyone tried the SIM 14 and loft up to 16? Higher ballfight? More spin? Did it go left a lot (for a righty)? I'm tempted to try one, just for teeing off purposes to compliment my OO mini driver, but I need the right gapping and ballflight.

Please Note that the SIM is a titanium body with Carbon top and weighted V-steel type sole added. The SIM Max is an all steel body with Carbon top and 5cc's larger than the SIM. Some of the Tour players have found the SIM might be too long for their game and are working with the bonded SIM Max, which they can have the Tour truck do unlimited adjustments to what they need as to shafts, face angles, lofts etc.

Did somebody hit the SIM and the SIM Max with the stock shafts and can compare them?

The stock shafts in M4 and M6 had too much spin for me. I went with the M3 stock shaft in my M4 and have been really happy. Thats why I'm thinking about ordering the Diamana FW75 shaft in the SIM Max head.

I didn't hit the SiM Max but I did hit the SiM with the stock shaft. It performed pretty good and felt really good. I feels a lot like the S+ Ltd I have in my TS2 but with less pronounced kick. It didn't overly spin for me but I was hitting some pretty strong draws on the trackman with it. Off the mat, I was getting a mid-low flight without much rise.

Driver speed is around 110ish. I play 6X untipped in my driver. I normally hit around 280+/- with the driver with a little fade.

EDIT: One thing I'd like to add is that TM tips their shafts 1" for the 3w stock. If I went with the stock shaft, I'd probably go with only a 1/2" tipping to add some height and to

Tried both the sim ti and the sim max indoors on trackman, both felt great and and gave me consistent smashfactors of 1.50>. Directionally i was much more consistant with the sim max. The sim ti almost went too far(if thats a thing) so im leaning heavily towards the max. I Have seen a couple of online reviews however where people have struggled hitting the sim max off the turf outside, is there anyone that have tried both the sim ti and sim max outside off the deck that can confirm or counter that the max can be hard to hit off turf?

Hi. Curious to see how your experiment with the heavier weights went? Are you using the M6 Driver weights to do the adjusting? Those look simillar but my SIM is on BO till the 25th because of the shaft so I have yet to personally pull the weights out. Wanted to grab some weights prior so I can adjust SW once I get it. Eager Beaver that I am.

Thanks in advance for any info and fingers crossed the're existing weights and it's simple to accomplish!

One range session with the Sim Ti 3-wood. Ordered it with the Smoke black x-stiff shaft. I look forward to getting numbers but holy cow it’s long. I lofted up one notch to up the height and spin and was very pleased with the result. Look forward to getting some more time with it but very pleased with my first outdoor range day. And I feel like the slight bump in size makes it much easier to hit than the M5, even if it’s just a little more confidence on my end.

standard industry tipping for 3 woods have always been around an inch so no matter the brand this is likely to be the case. I have in the past however been very harsh to TM over their “standard” 1 inch tipping on drivers which no other Oem does .

So the original SIM 3w and 5w weights (with blue in the groove) weighed in at 3g. I replaced the 3w weight with a 6g and put a 10g weight in the 5w. Just got back from my bachelor party this weekend in Hilton Head. Played Heron Point, Harbour Town, Atlantic Dunes, and Hilton Head National. Can't base it off of the weights, but I couldn't hit my fairways at all. Ended up putting the stock 3g weights back in both but I think my issue is the shafts in both (HZRDUS Smoke Black 6.0). I've had a couple good rounds with the 3 wood but the 5 wood and I are not getting along at all. Going to swap out the fairway shafts for either AD IZ 7 or AD DI as I just put an AD IZ 6S in my SIM driver and loved it this weekend. High bombs. Going to tinker more with both fairways but I'm a bit concerned the 5 wood may need to be swapped with a GAPR or hybrid until I can square it up regularly. Will post swingweights with the stock shafts and weights for the SIM 3w/5w once I can bring them to my local shop as I'm interested to see what they came at from TM.

Hit the 5w last night lofted down to 17, really really loved the feel of the face but I could over cook it somewhat easy in that limited 75s. Would tipping that shaft knock spin down a bit? Didn't hate the feel of it just think it needed to be a tad stiffer. On the fence on what shaft to put in that head

For me it’s not even close. The standard TI SIM is really, really long. Much longer than the M5. It’s too long to be honest. I could not put the 3 wood in my bag it just wouldn’t make sense. I am thinking about putting the 5 wood but cranked down to 17 degrees in the bag. That could be a great club.

Had the same results with the sim ti, have you tried the sim max? I hit the max great inside off a matt on trackman, great dispersion and numbers made alot more sense with gapping.

Saw some online reviews where people struggled hitting the max outside off grass.. would love to hear if this is something more people have experienced with the max

So what is the difference gap between the SIM TI and SIM Max? I could use a mini driver. I don’t ever hit a 3 wood off the fairway.

Make sure to take a good look at the heads when you guys buy one. I just received mine from a special order and noticed the paint in the grooves have a bunch of build up. Also, the V sole steel plate has a pretty jagged leading edge. I brought it back to my local golf shop and the manager said the paint is normal but the v sole isn't so he's getting another head sent out.

Totally agree. The SIM #wd (Ti) is clearly longer, essentially one club+ longer for me. But it is not too long for me. The difference is really something. I really like the M5, but no contest. By the way neither clubs had stock shafts. They were fitted with shafts for me, M5-- original Ventus Blue w/ VeloCore 7S, the SIM has an Atmos Tour Spec 7S.
