If you gaming MP20 your impressions?

I just switched from MP 32 and my first impression is not so positive. I actually don't like the sound of the center strike. It is kind of metallic. Love the looks, but as far as performance I don't see too much difference. I relay want to like the club. It will take a few weeks to get used to it as my swing suffered from not working on a range due to plenty bad rainy weather down here in New Orleans. One thing I am impressed is with the consistent distance you get fro these blades. It remains to be seen if these stay in my bag or in the garage closet.

I appreciate any comments on the experience you guys may have had with these wonderfully looking blades.

I am in love with mine. I have to refrain from buying another set on the BST any time I see one posted

Absolutely love mine. I Demi’s last Fall after a round in which I was striking it solid. They felt buttery smooth and was actually getting 10 extra yards with each club. I couldn’t believe it but shot after shot was 10 yards longer. They’re more forgiving on mishits than I expected as well. Feel, forgiveness and distance...what more could you ask for? The only complaint I have is that I have a steep swing and the interaction with the turf can tend to dig a little for me

If you were properly fitted for both sets then I wouldn't expect massive differences in performance, blades are never going to change much really.

Think of them as more of a continuation of your 32s than a game changing upgrade. When I wear our my MP68s I want my next set to be business as usual, i don't want to see massive jumps in distance or changes in ball flights

That's funny. That's the reason I gave up on the TN87s (the last copper iteration with the Hoganesque muscle). I rarely, if ever hit a ball heavy, but I started to with them. Scalpels. Right now the Tourstage in my bag have a slightly more forgiving sole and digging and heavy shots are gone.

I am a big fan of forged classic blades. Started with Tour Grinds, had short stint with Eye 2, then ohhh…MP-32 and now MP-20. What I like about it is that it forces you to work on you game, gives you immediate feedback, and yes makes you come back for more pure striking. In my set PW-7 blade and 6-5 HMB shafts are Modus 105S, but MP32 were DGR 300. These feel somewhat different. Can’t wait for good weather to get it going.

TourGrind.... I live in Covington.... weather is damp wet and sucky. You south of the lake? Ive hit the 20’s. Wanted to like them but feel more confident and strike the ball better with my MP 29’s. I do have a set of Miura Tourney Blades on the way so will have to try them out. I did get about 8 to ten yds more per club but Like you didnt like the sound they made ( hit both inside and out). Really clicky to me.

Kylemd, I finally did some work on the range. Found out I had too much right hand and laying off the club at the top of my backswing. That caused me flipping and over the top and frustration. Got it straighten out. The PW-7 feels great. The distance is not like the "masive" cavity backs buy very consistance. For 69 year old consisitant 154 y is ok. The 6 and 5 are HMB and I just cant et the same feel. The 6i flies 165 but it always feels like a mishit. I am thinking going 6i MB. I took my swing to a friend Richard L. at Nevada Bob's. The Trackman results were amasing on 7i, but 6i felt like crup. Richard whom I know from early 80's Adubon GC, suggessted that I play with them some more before trashing HMBs. Yeah they are very pricy. I may shaft my MP32 the same way Modus105 S and see how this will work out. By the way MP29s are beatiful blades. Wasn't it Faldo's choice?

I'm gaming the MP-20 MMC irons and I really love the feel and sound of them. I've gamed the 58s, 59s, 64s, and 15s and feel that these are an improvement of the multi-material construction from Mizuno. I think that the MP 15s were very close but these are sweet. I was going to go with the MBs but I was fit into these and my numbers were solid and compared to other offerings, these just flat out beat them. I'm still in shock that the C-Taper irons are what I was fit for but if they don't end up working out in the long run, I'll just go with standard DG S300 shafts. Sometimes it just doesn't translate to the course. I found this out with my driver but in a good way. I could not for the life of me hit my 917 D3 with the shaft cut down but once I took it out to the range and on course, it started the click.

Tourgrind:

Faldo I think did have a hand in the design and did play a set. He won the 96 Masters with a set of TP prototypes ( I think). I go in that Nevada bobs all the time. Need to actually buy something other than gloves or balls, but i like to build my own stuff. They're are nice guys. Faldo was by far my favorite player. Still have and read his swing for life vid.

I was close to getting the 29s and have them done by the Iron Factory, but here came MP20. I am waiting for some good weather to take them to the curse. I am not giving up on the 6-5 HMB till then. I rarely use the 5i since I have this killer Titleist 7 wood. I am also working on getting back that Sonartec hybrid 23* that I used to love and one day it grew legs and left my unattended bag. Have un-shafted head and need to find a proper fit for it. I am big on pureing and spining shafts. The MP20 are probably not done that way from the factory. MP32 felt so consistent since I spined the shafts. I made my own spining tool.
