Driver issue

I think I’m losing potential distance with my driver. My 7 iron goes around 195 (number is average carry from club fitting with p790) and I’m hard pressed to get 250 carry with driver. Do these numbers match or is there a problem? I hit pretty close to the center of the face each time with a few exceptions.

The P790 Irons are very strong lofted, meaning the data is comparable with a normal 6 iron (30* loft). What launch monitor did you get fitted with? How tall are you? If you are tall there is a chance you could be using longer iron shafts, resulting in more club head speed and therefore more distance. Tall people, however, often use normal length drivers (45 inch), so it might explain the little gap between your 7 iron and driver. You could post swing sequence (around 15 photos from different points in your swing). Anyone can post those.

What is your swing speed with the driver and with the 7 iron? Does the flight of the driver look spinny or is it high?

I agree, spin would help to really determine what’s going on with the swing
