Your favorite forged wedge?

I've always been an Eye 2, Mizuno and Cleveland beryllium fan, and a raw 8620 bloke in the form of 588s and Vokeys; so forged wedges have been a rarity in my bag. A Mizuno TP-9 was the last chromed, forged wedge I had in my bag, and the last forged wedge I played, full stop, in the lob wedge spot, was a Mk I Nike raw model which I loved and played for several years until it was utterly worn out. Nice shape, unfussy looks and, with a nice patina on it, it looked just about perfect from every angle.

Hang on. I just realised that you're likely asking for a view on contemporary forged wedges, so the above is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard...

In the modern stuff, the Artisan/Nike ones would get my vote, based on the original source material.

I have a 54° mizuno t7 in the bag and think it feels right.

that said,after seeing how much better the ping hydro pearl finish wedges do in the wet I think they will be my next wedges.

Sonartec.....forged 8620 steel....durable and a dense solid feel.....JDM Royal Collection , made for the US market....some of my all time favorites.....I have not seen the East t45 before...the more common model was the t35 proto.....

Let’s put aside the forged versus cast wedge conversation.

Mizuno T20 wedges feel great off the face, amazing through the turf and are now available raw in SW and GW lofts.

worth the time and money to test T20 wedges. This from a guy having played Cleveland and Vokey wedges for the better part of the last 10-15 years.

I love my Honma Tw-W4's (posted on page 2) but "Man O Man" those new Fourteens shown yesterday and the pic of the Mizuno T20 above has my inner "GolfWRX professorship" ready to test those out right now in Michigan in the snow!!!

Love my Miura’s! I grew up a Cleveland RTG guy, then after that model was discontinued, i bounced around between brands, but never being fully sold on the ever-so-popular Vokey wedges. Found a used set of raw Miura wedges and fell instantly in love (and always look for raw Miura wedges on the bay). I’m now using a 48* tour wedge high bounce model, and a 54* and 60* in the k grind 2.0 paired to Oban CT-115 wedge shafts and couldn’t be happier w the feel and performance.
