Ping G400 LST Driver

I used to have a 65g Stiff shaft in my PingG400. Fairly straight ball flight. I had a temporary 75g shaft put in, whilst ordering a new 65g shaft. Played around with loft settings on the range, and found the small plus setting gave me massive long high draw flights with incredible hang time. Tried the small minus setting and that felt a bit flat. Anybody use that combo i mentioned above? Not sure I want to go back to the 65g shaft now, but i suppose i should try the same loft with the 65g shaft.

All thing being equal the ball should draw a little with the PLUS settings, and fly higher because you're increasing loft.

So it's doing what it should, i play an Aldila Xtorsion Black Mamba 60tx and can move the ball left or right, it's a great combo for me, 10 Deg. head on small minus sign.

Interested in why you decided to go for Black Mamba. Is that one a low launching/spin shaft. I know they are usually good for faster speed swings, not sure with the smooth tempo’s.

I’m still loving my g400 lst with a Tensei Orange 70 TX. I play the - setting to help flatten my drives to get more roll out.

Well, i won that shaft here on the forum, after about a year of back problems it was sitting in a shelf, started using it at the end of last year, it's a low spin shaft, low launch. I was previously using a Rogue Silver 60 S Tipped 1", did't tip the Xtorsion. Distance it's about the same, the main difference is that he Xtorsion plays a little bit stiffer. Both are great, really liked the Rogue, but the Mamba looks soooo goood and nasty that you just want to hit it.

SS is about 110 with Driver, Spin around 2.300/2400.

I tried a hazardus 70 gram low torque regular in mine while I had it and was liking it. Smooth transition kinda swing was working very well.

now in a 410+ with a tensi Orange Like it as well. 9° head set at nine. Get a bit more spin but the ball, more or less, goes where I want.
