They're pretty nice. I'm going to be overhauling my wedges this year, and they are one I've looked at closely. I also really like their custom model (Tour XW-B or something), but it's about 7,000~8,000 yen more than the XW-1s. I am considering the custom model in the 58* and the XW-1 in the 52* and maybe 50*. Not sure what to do about the 56*.

I am looking at getting a 54* and bending it to 56° as well as a 60° if I can find one, it would match my current sand wedge's bounce and the grind might be similar too. Hope to see them in person but they are nowhere to be found in Canada. Not sure about the fuller grind on the 50/52°.

That's how I found my current sand wedge (J33 forged) when Bridgestone clubs were still at Golf Town! Best feeling and most versatile wedge I've ever owned.

Most people in Canada don't know Bridgestone make golf clubs... And I kind of understand why. I still remember the first time I saw an old Js Professional Weapon CB in one of my friend's bags at a tournament. They made my Titleist irons feel pretty shabby.

I foolishly left some J15 wedges in Canada last time I was there. They are collecting dust in 108 mile house. Soft wedges that put a lot of spin on the ball.

Only negative is they are forged in China. If that's even a negative.

Those aren't forged in China. Endo Thailand just like the J15 CB's and MB's along with the the newer Tour B models. Bridgestone does not do much work with China with the production of their clubs. Unless you know this for sure somehow, all of the sources and information I have received say not the case.

I thought these might be Endo forged, though most of the marketing I've read only mentioned the irons being so and less specific on the wedges. Maybe they were just assembled in China (thus "made in China")? Seems like a definite negative selling point to have "Forged in China" on the club.

Were the J33 wedges forged by Endo too? Seems like the same situation with the wedges/irons there too.

Tourstage stuff was all forged in Japan, from what I understand. A lot of the Bridgestone stuff is done in Japan too. The J15 wedges said China. I don't remember seeing Thailand on anything. It shouldn't make any difference, because the wedges look and feel great. And, Bridgestone irons are some of the nicest clubs out there.

I have to agree with Bridgestone being very underrated! Really starting to love my tour b cb’s. So soft, yet crisp and powerful off the face. Currently playing j15 wedges as well but really want the new xw1’s. Saw them in person at Dallas Golf last week and they are just about perfect shape. A little busy on the cavity but I would get over that pretty quickly.

I have the 50, 54 and 58/12...ordered from Japan. They are amazing feeling wedges. Easy to control the ball flight up or down.

Bumping this thread...

Curious if anyone has played or tested the xw-1 biting rail wedge. Very close to needing a new gap wedge and not very happy with other products at the moment. Absolutely loved the j15's and wish I kept them.
