Purely guess here but it looks like an alternative to arm lock Maybe wrist locking. Keep standard putter but with the grip you can lock the grip into the wrist. Looks fun and different. I’d try one for sure.

Looks like they just took a regular grip, flipped it on it's side and made it longer, now it's a "wrist lock" or whatever it might say.

Ever since Spieth came up, I loved his forward press move to "wrist lock" and have been doing this ever since. This is just commercializing it, it seems.

Looks interesting, but thats alot of forward press. Would have to see it on an actual putter. putter specs might have to change some, or does this grip have an off center cutout for the shaft like the LAB grips?

seen quite a few kenyon and mike kanski guys doing a drill keeping a golf ball inbetween the top of the grip and the left wrist so guess it's just an extension of that drill really.

I copied that move with my putting stroke... even though I'm not left hand low. works great for me... and it's a "trigger" i need to start my stroke

I started doing the same thing this winter (without realizing the Spieth connection). I got a new Bettinardi Inovai 6.0 with the standard Sink Fit grip, and it just felt right to forward press and firm up the lead wrist and keep it that way during the stroke. I've been much more consistent rolling it on my putting mat indoors. We'll see if it translates to the course.

This is incorrect. As long as the grip itself is conforming, it can be oriented in any position you like. It's basically a pistol grip turned to the side, with the graphics re-oriented to reflect the positioning.

i dont disagree with the spirit of your logic .... but if they are ok with armlock then this is much less automatic.

WristLock™ Putter Grip - SuperStroke

The WristLock grip is now live on their website. I’m happy to see that it has the port for counterbalance weights. I guess my last question is wether we are expected to put 4” extensions into our putter shafts to use this grip because it sure seems that way.

This might be a dumb question, but is it the same shape on both sides? Would you need a RH and LH version or just flip it the other way? I am trying to wrap my head around it until I can see it in person.

I'm still a little confused as to what length putter you would use with this thing. I'd imagine you'd want it your putter like an inch or so longer than your standard so that the grip would come up to your wrist.

The grip is a couple inches longer than the standard SS, so that might just be the case.

I inquired to SS about the loft/length question (in another thread), they advised it's designed to fit "as is" on most standard putters so no alteration would be necessary. I have been spending a lot of time in the basement rolling putts using a drill I saw or read years ago about choking down the grip, putting a golf ball between your left wrist (RH putter) and the butt of the putter to get the feeling of minimizing the left wrist and maximizing the feeling of rocking the shoulders through the putt. That being said, for me, I may leave height as is because theoretically that feeling would translate similarly (posture, hand position, etc.) with the installation of the SS Wrist Lock grip.

I would think that if you did not want to bend over the ball more by an inch or two, you would/could add an extra inch or two to keep posture similar to your current setups.

I am aware that's a lot of "what if" and "theoretically" input but I too am VERY interested in this product and think this may be the item I need to really hone in my putting ea. round and that says a lot because I don't change equipment often!

Most likely need to position it depending on which way a player putts. So my guess from pics is that color up top goes towards the face of the putter so it can sit in the lead hand/wrist and do as designed.
