Tried the TT's and they're a good powerful iron but the sound just isn't right(a clack)and the short iron soles are too wide.
must admit that's there downfall the short irons seem to be IMO bigger soled than the long irons

I haven't noticed any downside with the wide soles. The leading edge is kind of sharp and the sole keeps the clubs from digging. Hit the ball before the turf and the sole won't be a factor anyway.

I've seen you comment on the sharp lead edge before. I have to completely disagree. Very rounded lead edge with a very forgiving heel transition. Sharp is not a word that comes to mind to describe the lead edge for me anyway.

Left to right: G25, 588TT, modified i5.

Look at the middle of the sole, and how it transitions into the leading edge. Both G25 and my modified i5's are more rounded than the 588TT.

Technically, I took the last photo on the range of my own set. Please don't use my photos and say they are your own. It's not a big deal, but I see Ebay listings using my photos as well. Not your photo, not your set. The shafts and grips look great by the way. Hopefully they are of the actual clubs you own.

The shafts/grips are indeed mine. I used the head picture simply because it is a very good photo of Cleveland's 588 TT clubhead that I had posted to my personal pic file at some point in the past, (most likely from this forum).

You should know by now that the internet is completely public so neither you or I can claim to "own" a photo once it has been posted on the internet. It becomes public as soon as you post it.

I don't understand why you are so "anal" about this particular photo. You act like it is the only pic ever taken of this clubhead. I have no idea who actually took the photo you claim to be yours and frankly I really don't care whether it was you or someone else.. Below is another pic for your viewing pleasure...this one direct from Cleveland Golf and I am reasonably sure they won't mind at all, even though they actually own the design.

You didn't take the photo, so don't claim it as your own under some bastardized logic that its "yours" now because its on the internet. It's not. You know damn well its not. I'm not anal at this point. I'm plain pissed. That is some self-centered world you live in to claim photos as your own, and to further state it is YOUR set pictured. Wrong on both counts. And don't go using them for Ebay listings now too like some do with my photos. That's my home course's range in the background and why I know its my photo. It takes a millisecond to recognize it for me. Because its my home course, my club, and MY photo.
Take it out, or the mods will.

So using other peoples' photos and claiming them to be "your set" is acceptable now? That is crap, and no need to go private to say as much.
I've participated a lot in the 588 threads with a lot of info and pics and won't stand for be accused of "mucking them up." Ridiculous!

For crying out loud, Its a pic of a Cleveland Golf club, specifially the 588 TT which is a club owned by many on this forum including me, so just what is your friggin problem? Your reaction is downright insane!

Thanks for not closing it down. These 588 TT's are one heckuva of a good club and should be discussed more than they are.

Does anyone else think the soles of the 588 TT's are REALLY similar to the R9 TP's? Yes, the soles are a touch on the wide side but the turf interaction is great. Also, I don't notice the sole when I have the club in the address position.

Just for clarification regarding the discussion that took place and is now no longer visible regarding a photo being used/claimed as one's own when it is, in fact, not, just because one posts a photo on the Internet does not imply it is public property and can be claimed by anyone other than the owner: http://copyright.lib.utexas.edu/useofweb.html

All original work (writing, art, photography, etc.) has an implied copyright due to the creator of said work. In reality, intellectual property (which digital photos are) is very difficult to protect. That being said, claiming a photo as one's own when it is not is not only unethical but a violation of the owner's copyright. Limited license for various usage is permitted but what occurred earlier in this topic does not qualify.

Sorry for the off-topic post but I feel justified in correcting a common misconception that the Internet is a digital "Wild West" where absolutely everything is fair game. It is not.

Now back to the topic at hand.

Not sure you should just slip that in without looking at the OP's AVATAR PIC in Post #1... (the very first pic that appeared in this thread)...and please note the very same avatar pic is repeated in posts 4,11,15, 21,and 28, (YES, IT IS THE VERY SAME PIC THAT YOU CHOSE TO REMOVE FROM THIS THREAD EARLIER FOR THE COPYRIGHT REASONS STATED ABOVE).

Very Interesting that it was NOT the OP who claimed ownership of this particular pic, so I do hope the
mods on this forum won't be removing the OP's avatar just because a certain member objects to its use while claiming he was "the photographer", and therefore legally "owns" that particular pic of the Cleveland 588 TT.

Obviously the member's claim to "pic ownership" may not even be true...and it is unlikely Golfwrx can possibly verify such a claim anyway. So why even bother with this? The real question for me is just what kind of person would even bother to raise an issue over the ownership of a simple clubhead pic? Does he think he has somehow managed to create Golf's version of the Mona Lisa with his digital camera?

OK...now lets really do get back to 588 TT reality....

Obviously you just do NOT get it, so let me spell it out for you:
I wrote an entire review on another site for these irons from which that photo came. The OP using my photo is not a big deal to me as I consider it to be a compliment if people think my photos are of a good quality. Using my photo I took as an avatar isn't saying, "hey, look at MY irons and the photo *I* took."

Where's the issue then? Well, let's say you have a bst thread up selling "YOUR" 588-TT's and you slip in my photos as they are nicer than anything you could take. That is criminal, as is what you are doing laying claim to photos and objects in photos you do not personally own, nor took the time and effort to take your own. Obviously, I have a pic of "Underdog" as my avatar. I didn't claim to create the Underdog series. See the difference? Probably not.

What you are doing is unscrupulous, immoral, and downright disingenuous. It is my intellectual property from my review of these clubs from another site. The law is on my side, so shut the trap and stop allowing the foolishness to escape. And get yeself a moral compass. This is a gentleman's game. Your behavior is boorish.
