I have been going to Park City my entire life and it is actually better in the summer than it is in the winter. I don't even ski any more but we still go every summer. Park City in the summer has such a cool vibe! Utah is such an underrated golf destination and you can rent a huge cabin up in that area for a really reasonable price. There is world class fly fishing, hiking, biking, great restaurants and bars and the golf will surprise you. Soldier Hollow hosted the US Pub Links a few years back and its 50 bucks! They held the cross country skiing at the 02 Olympics in middle of golf the course. If any of your guys are members of a private club you can get on a number of really nice private clubs in Park City area. If you get serious about it, PM me and I will give you specific recommendations. My guys and I will be there middle of July

Check out RTJ trail in bama...resorts onsite, several locations to choose from, easy on the budget. We used to do Myrtle, have being doing RTJ trails for last 10 years.

I got back from the Sandhills yesterday.  My we played tobacco road twice, and mixed in some better value courses inbetween, Legacy being our favorite.  We ended up paying just about exactly what we spend at Legends.  The food was much better around Pinehurst with a couple real gems in Southern Pines.  We went very budget on the accommodations, but they were good enough.  Tobacco Road was an absolute blast.  Surprisingly, the beginners and the real golfers all seemed to enjoy it just for different reasons.  We booked through Tobacco Road, and while it was not as easy or straightforward as booking through Legends, the trip was great.  Definitely would recommend it.

 

Since the OP, I've also done a trip to Streamsong which was incredible, and we've got Bandon tentatively on the radar for a 40th bday type trip.  Next year I may pick Legends again as we haven't been in a while, but after that I think I'm going to look at either RTJ trail or maybe even Ireland if I can keep the costs down enough for my whole group.

I have a huge trip we do to Pinehurst every year, a few of the folks don't want to spring for Pinehurst proper so we play around it, but normally stay on one of the courses.

 

This year my team is staying in a house on number 9(14 guys) and the other team is staying at a different house again with 14 guys.  Booked houses through VRBO or one of those services.

There are guys coming from Caly, Mass, VA, MI, GA, NC, KY, and a few other states.  For all the courses except Dormie, it is roughly 1450 per person for a mansion we are staying in and all the rounds of golf.  That includes 200 or 250 from each person that goes towards the prize fund for the winners.  This is in May so pretty prime time for Pinehurst.  Some are flying in and some are driving.
