Cobra King Tour irons

This is a solid point. There is a new material at play here. I remember the cleveland CMM irons. They were not forged but had amazing feel. To me MIM rings very similar to that process.

I think a satin finish would look better, but it seems Bright chrome is making a come back.

... Along with the two goofy bronze colored tungsten weights visible in the sole, I switched from Amp Forged to Fly Z+ because that satin finish looked so much better than the shiny chrome imo.

I kept the Amp Forged cause I liked the shiny chrome more

than the brushed finish. To each their own.

... Exactly. That has to be hard for OEM's. It is always a balancing act because whatever changes you make, you are making some customers happy and some unhappy. And we are just talking about the finish!

That's no joke. Which is why I always enjoy when people get overly butt hurt at these types of things like it was a personal attack from the OEM

... Yup, like everyone I have personal preferences I would like to indulge but realize that is not always possible. I was perfectly happy with the shiny chrome finish, although I really disliked those visible weights on the sole staring up at me from my bag because I have a remote cart and always walk. But I also understand unless I am designing a one of a kind custom built iron, there will always be trade offs. I picked ups the Fly Z+ at a silly price and it cost me $50 to make the trade. At $100 or more I would have just stuck with my Amp Forged. Performance has been identical with my Amp Forged, Fly Z+ and Forged Tours.

Really is the best "series" of irons last 6-7 years when it comes to looks, playability, and performance

I was afraid the P760 or Z765 were going to be too players for me after reading about them and both have top lines about twice as thick as the Cobras but overall very similar profile.

I routinely turn to @chisag posts for reviews of this Cobra lineup. Good info and he has a lot of Cobra playing experience. I am looking forward to these. I like players clubs with some boost but the problem I always have is when the blade lengths get really long like a hockey stick my contact wanders more toward the toe. I guess they are more forgiving and it’s all in my head, but it happens. I prefer a blade that looks shorter and taller. The past Cobras in this line are more to my liking shape-wise. The Forged Tours blade size looked better to me than the OG Forged Tec. TM P770 looks good to me for blade length.
The badge styling on these new ones looks like the F8, which is an iron I liked except for the blade length. Same for the Mizuno JPX 919 Forged and HMB. Long blade lengths, at the 80 mm mark.
Back of the club not a dealbreaker. Do they need to cram all those words on the back? No. I don’t need MIM TECHNOLOGY written on every head. Keep it in the promotional material. I like reading about golf clubs, but not on the golf club. Would not put me off. If they are an advancement of the Forged Tours and play like those, that’s attractive.

The MIM wedges were easy to bend 2 degrees for me when I had them, so I’d say yes

Speaking of the wedges, I wonder why there are no reviews online. With such a different take on the process of how they are produced you would think there would have been a ton of reviews on it with much more info.

Funny MIM Stainless Steel not Fordged 1025, why chrome them and a not polished finish? It lookes like a AP2 18 Iron that was fordged, I wonder if you will get the same fordged feel or close to the Ping i210. I can tell you you can tell the differance from fordged!

The MIM wedges are super soft, i had no problem bending them 2*

I have the previous King Forged Tour irons. It would be tough to improve those, but this peaks my curiosity.

Easily, some of the most underrated clubs out there. I was a fan when I had my little one length phase. I think Lexi has some of the new tours in the bag. Whatever comes next for cobra, I'm excited to see it. They're turning into a real power house with their woods, rickies irons, the soon - coming MiM wedges and Bryson bombing his drives as well as Dufner signing on.

They could have done without the MIM and Tungsten parts of the badge. Would have been much better.
