Stability Putter Shaft

Anyone try the LA Golf Shaft TP Putter Shaft and done a comparison?

I have compared both, however the LAGP shaft is in an armlock putter and the stability shaft is in a traditional putter. Quick thoughts both are very stable on longer lag putts. I did not like the stability shaft for shorter putts and the LAGP shaft was very consistent through length of putt.

Long putts with the stability are amazingly very stable. If I could have the same confidence on a 20 ft as a 3ft putt the stability shaft would be a game changer but because of the weight of the putter the short putts, for me, were tough. I felt like I was forcing the putter to hit the ball because of the weight.

stability makes the putter feel extremely heavy where the LAGP does not feel any different from normal weighted putters.

So it sounds like the two shafts would be similar in feel assuming that the short putt stability you experienced in the LAGP shaft is due to the arm lock? What weight is the LAGP shaft? They come in three weights...thinking the added weight vs. the Stability might be better as it's closer to what my standard putter shaft is.

My shaft is the same one Bryson uses. L.A. Golf Shaft's LP180. Short putt stability might be the armlock but with the actual stability shaft I lacked that soft touch with the putter. LAGP shaft still allows me to have the delicate touch putts, but I cant confidently say it does not have to do with the style of putting as well as the shaft.

Cool, thanks...so it sounds like if you had to recommend one, the LAGP shaft would be the ticket? This is likely going in a L.A.B. Putter B.2 traditional blade style putter.

100% I would recommend the LAGP shaft over the orginal Stability Shaft in my opinion.

Glad to see this newer 2-part shafts are getting some attention. I've played with the UST shaft for some time, looking to purchase the stability shaft next and compare them both to a few shafts I've made with a similar approach. Full carbon shaft is next my list to finish, as shown below.

How do you like the stability shaft with your plumber neck putter?

I got a Stability shaft on my Betti SS28 Slotback at 34", It has a single bend shaft...With long putts, the ball rolls where ever i hit it...it feels really smooth in the stroke, but I also love Betti putters, If anything is is showing me confidence on my putts, That has a lot of importance for putting.

I have hit putts with a couple putters with the KBS Tour putter shaft and while it is stiffer than you normal steel, it is a different feel than a Stability shaft. I have both the original and Tour version in different putters and they are stiffer and add a bit more weight to dial in your desired swing weight in your putter.

The UST Filter shaft is very different than both the Stability shaft and the Ozik LA putter shaft. I have a UST Filter shaft in a custom MannKrafted and it is mostly, in my opinion for feel/sound of the putter. Stability shaft, both original and Tour will also alter the feel but it also affects the stability (stiffness) of the shaft itself and adds weight.
