What are you most excited to see this season?

Go sox. They have all sorts of questions surrounding the organization. They also have to contend with the Yankees which isn't helpful.

How much fallout is left from the cheating scandals? Big names leave? Lindor, Betts, Bryant, Arenado? Do we see a reduction in offense after the ball situation last year? Homer totals keep going up? The season cant come soon enough!

Looks like Betts is absolutely going to be traded. Dombrowski completely killed your farm system and saddled you with huge contracts, and the prospect return you could get is much better than letting him walk for nothing.

Dodger fan here. Still don’t think they’ll win with Roberts at the helm. Postseason play has become so much about managing the bullpen and he just doesn’t seem to have that knack.

I think I would rather see Martinez get traded, but your return isn't as good. Or perhaps deal Martinez and Benitendi. Or see if you can unload some pitching cause their staff is bad. But the return for Mookie should extremely high.

On another note, the yankees and dodgers should be playing in the Series this year.

Blue Jays fan here. Can't wait to see what the kids do this year. Vladdy Jr. cranked out 90 bombs in the homerun derby and lost! With a bit more plate discipline there's no telling what sort of numbers he could put up. They're going to surprise.

With the fallout from the sign stealing scandal I've got a feeling that there's going to be some more contenders for playoff spots. I actually think that we're far from finished on this topic in terms of impact. While Boston is definitely on the downside competitively the bold prediction is that Huston doesn't make the playoffs either. I expect more discipline to be coming down the pipe at some point specifically with players.

While the Yankees are head and shoulders above everyone else this might be the year for a couple of surprises contending for the World Series especially after several years of expected teams advancing. I look for the White Sox and Angels to both qualify along with Minnesota, Tampa Bay and of course New York.

I’m a big fan (and a little scared) of what the Jays have put together, if your pitching holds up and Tampa falters you guys could be in the Wild Card hunt this year, if not definitely next year.

White Sox could definitely make the playoffs, but again need more pitching than just Giolito

Mookie and Price along with cash to LAD from BOS. Looks LAD only gave Verdugo and Maeda, the latter of which was flipped to MIN for Graterol. If this is accurate and no LAD gave up none of their minor league talent, it is an absolute steal!

Wow! Dodgers moving Jacque Peterson to the Angels too. Maybe by trimming down some of the numbers Roberts will let guys play the same position all season.

Supposedly the Joc trade can even help keep the Dodgers under the luxury tax. It really feels almost too good to be true.

Baseball is about as effed as basketball. You get a handful of teams competing and the rest are just farm teams playing at the major league level. There's so much money in the sport that they don't give a damn about the fans! Instead, they're more than happy to accept donations from their corporate overlords who buy up all the luxury seating.

It's really insane. The owners of a majority of the teams simply do not care about putting a winning team out on the field, but when a team's owner DOES spend money, all of a sudden it's "buying a title". Any owner of a major league baseball team could spend a lot of money and get big marquis names, but most of them just want steady profits. It's a sad state.

I think they need to introduce an average salary per player floor to discourage the serious tanking we're seeing in the sport nowadays.

Ever since the Cubs and the Astros won World Series with home grown talent as a result of tanking everyone is in on that game. The owners love it because they make the most money with a minimum payroll if they don't qualify for the playoffs. Lots of teams used to spend to try and remain competitive because they thought it would help the gate and TV ratings, but they discovered that unless you win, no one cares. So they go all in once a decade or so and the rest of the time it's tank mode.

The Colorado Rockies exemplifies this (owners caring about profits before winning). First, I am a Cubs fan but a long time Colorado resident (34 out of the past 40 years - most of my life). However, I find it hard to support the Rockies because the Monfort brothers seem to only care about making money rather than building a competitive team.

Same with the Pirates, Pittsburgh deserves better.

That's true! My parents live in Pittsburgh, gonna have to make the trip this season and catch a game. PNC Park is truly my favorite ballpark to visit

Looks like the Cubs just signed Jason Kipnis to a minor league deal. While the Cubs didn't make a big name splash, they had a few low key signings. Let's hope that the core still there and the pitching staff can sustain a good season. Go Cubs Go!

When the Marlins were unloading everyone a couple years ago, I was hoping the Dodgers would pull off a trade for Yelich, while all other Dodgers fans wanted Giancarlo Stanton. They thought I was an idiot to want Yelich over Stanton.

St. Louis Cardinals fan. No huge changes thus far except losing Ozuna in left. I think we have the depth to be okay but the NL Central is such a tough division and with the guys Cincy have added the Reds will not be easy to beat either. Will anyone get to 90 wins?

It's the Mets. They'd agree to sell the team, and set up some big ceremony where ARod is going to pay cash to the Wilpons for the team, except he'd trip and break his neck walking onto the stage and all the money would fly out an open window.
