New Mizuno M-Craft putters

Do you know if you went with the brushed black pvd or the black pvd? I'm trying to figure out the difference but I'm thinking the brushed is the typical finish that other black shafts have and the other is the matte version?

Brushed is more matte. Has the finish of a C-Taper shaft. Black PVD has a more glossy look. I went with the brushed black

I know someone that runs a green grass shop/range. The Mizuno rep said he hadn't gotten any of his accounts orders fulfilled yet.

Golf Galaxy changed all of the dates on their website to mid March!

I wont see mine until april because they are on back order. Big Box stores doubled downed and ordered all the putters.

I rolled these in the store yesterday and they feel exactly how you would expect a Mizuno to feel. Pure and put a great roll on it.

Type 1 is About 70 degrees with equal weights installed. Technically you could put the 13g weight in the heel and 3 g weight in the toe and lesson the toe hand a little while keeping the weight the same

Type 2 (Anser style) is 45 degrees

SAM recommended 45-60 degrees of toe hang. I currently have a couple 45ish degree putters but my miss tends to be a toe strike. That's almost certainly a stroke problem and not a face closure problem, I'm wondering if going to the other end of the recommended toe hang spectrum could mitigate this problem a little bit. I'm going to either go with the Mizuno or the new Ping ZB3, which has 63 degrees of toe hang.

Id imagine taking out the 8g weights and putting a 3g in the toe and 13g in the heel would get you pretty close to 60

Local GG had 34” and 36” of all 3. Man, even through the plastic, they are soft like a true carbon putter.

My local PGA SS only seemed to have 35", which was perfect for me. Full Disclosure, I only looked at the I and II in the Blue, so they may have had other lengths in stock for the other head/color combos.

They are soft, I can attest to that.

The feel is fantastic. I'd call it soft but substantial - contrast that with something like the Ping Sigma 2 line, which I felt was soft and kinda hollow and plastic-y. The milling is nice and sharp.

The top lines are a little thick for my taste.

The blue looks nice and all but over the ball it's a bit much. A little garish. I also wasn't a huge fan of the satin. With the white line it's all a bit bright.

If I end up getting one, it'd definitely be the black slant neck. That model felt like it fit my stroke better than the plumber's neck, and the black looks really sharp.

I hit the M Craft II yesterday. They feel great. Why don't other manufacturers forge their putters? And the face looks incredible.

I don't like the blue color. The white satin was ok. Unfortunately they didn't had the black one.

I recently switched form Scotty Newport 2 to the Spider X to gain more forgiveness. If I hadn't, I would switch from Scotty to Mizuno right now...

I assume it's milled from a forged billet of steel, just like any other milled putter. What can make it feel softer is carbon steel vs stainless. Carbon steel makes less of a click on impact so has the feel of being softer. Not sure if M Craft putters are carbon steel though?

They are 1025 carbon steel. Super soft. Just bad mine bent to 2* loft and the shop guy couldn't believe how soft he had to push to bend it

Rolled a couple of these putters today along with the new Cameron Special NP. The Mizuno feels much better to me, both feel great but the Type 1 M craft almost came home with me. I loved it... feels great and looks fantastic down by the ball. Impressive sticks!!

Played first round with new m-craft #2 this weekend. Normally a Taylormade Spider X player. Overall, loved the putter despite not playing a blade ever in my "career". I compare it to playing mizuno irons (I have MP18 MBs). Soft but firm, but pretty bad on miss hits. I was worried about the medium toe hang, but honestly did not feel affected by it, but I did put the 13g weights in toe and heel. Also rolled my buddy's SC newport 2 at the same time and would describe them as very comparable to the average player. I'm sure some will feel strongly about this one way or another, but on a center of the face hit, it felt similar, if not a little softer on the Mizuno. Hope everyone enjoys theirs as much as I already do mine. That being said, I'll likely keep the Spider for the season because it's just an amazing putter.
