Walked 18 today with my 4.,5LS loaded out, and realized how out of shape I am.

It's okay, but I definitely think there's a benefit to shaving a few pounds especially if I can transfer the plush straps from the 4.5 to whatever I use.

Stumbled upon this at DSG other day. $149, 2.5 lbs, 4 way too. Felt very light. I’m thinking in getting one of these myself. Only 3 color options though.

Do yourself a favor and order a Sun Mountain 2.5+ from dallasgolf instead. I'm confident the Sun Mtn is infinitely better even though I haven't seen the Maxfli, and the 2018 Sun Mtn model is on clearance and cheaper than $149

And they just put a couple of 2019 colors up- made my decision easy, I bought a 2019 navy/navy with no logo.

I meant to write 2019, I think. I have the black/red/gunmetal that I ordered from dallasgolf for less than $120 delivered. It doesn't have the latest, square shaped integrated top handle, which I think is a good thing as I find the square one to simply be ugly with no added benefit. Don't recall if that is 2018 or 2019 (or both).

Went to PGASS in Myrtle today and they didn't even have a 2.5+. Kinda surprised. However they had a 4 plus and it had the EZ fit lite straps and it'll they were awesome. They keep their form so it's easy to put on unlike the 2.5 straps which are mostly flat until on and they weight conforms them to your shoulder.

 

I really liked them. And nicely padded.

Any of these bags in this thread have the option of swapping to a single strap? I am not a huge fan of the backpack style straps and much prefer a single strap. Something like the strap from a Jones Original is perfect but the bag is just too small for my Jumbo MCC Plus4 grips.

Ended up finally pulling a trigger on a Mizuno K1-LO. I really wanted the wider opening of the 2.5+ but the straps of the Mizuno and better looks (to me) won out. TGW pricing helped as well.

was at the PGA store last night and looked at all the lightweight bags.....the Sun Mountain 2.5 stood out.....super light and the top is nice and wide..... this bag seemed to be a lot lighter than all the others...the titleist bags were nice but the tops were very small and restrictive

From my finding, the 2.5+ and mizuno k1-lo are about the lightest mainstream "full featured" bags you're gonna find. They are both sub 3lbs. 2.7 for mizuno and 2.9 for the SM, I believe.

I have the k1-LO and borrowed a friends 2.5 plus Sunday. Very similar construction, But I simply could not get the straps adjusted on the sun mountain, no matter what I did the corner of the top was hitting me in the lower back about every fourth stride.

My 2.5+ was delivered yesterday and loaded up for simulator league. The strap padding is just fine, the bag is super light, but I will need a bit more time to get these things adjusted. I'm finding it a little difficult right now to get the balance right.

Definitely keeping this bag, but the EZ-Fit straps might have to get on this thing in a week or two.

I did finally find ez fit straps and ez fit lite and both those straps should be on all their bags. They are so good.

I could adjust for you in 2 seconds. The key is to set the strap connection that is below the spine handle and to the right first. Everything falls into place from there. When you figure this out, you'll realize the X-Strap is perfection.

Use that adjustment spot to get the bag to be tilted such that club heads are 10 to 15% above the bottom of bag when both straps are on. Then adjust the location to the top/right of the spine handle to get the bag to sit at the small of the back. Do these adjustments in iteration to get the tilt correct AND the airflow pad exactly centered at the small of the back.

Thanks brew, I will try this as well. My straps feel oh so close to being balanced but there is still a bit off a torque sensation around my shoulders. Zero twisting hoofing it around the practice areas tonight.

The most eye opening thing about a bag this light is that a regular full water bottle has potential to really affect the balance of the bag.

Love these straps. So much padding. Full length dividers. Love the large Velcro piece by the drink holder/ range finder pocket for gloves.

still haven't loaded it up yet. Headed to Scottsdale Monday and I'm taking the old bag, just in case. Won't be walking out there.

 

i do wish the opening was as big as the 2.5+ though.

Are the dividers boxed to keep club sections completely separated? Looks like they aren't in the pics, which would be surprising.

they are indeed Individual full length. All 4 sections are their own....

What do you mean boxed? The outside (sides) of the bags don't have a liner other than the bag itself, if that's what your are asking? There is a full length black material separating from the other compartments only. But the outside is only protected from the bag itself.

Tried to show in the below pic of my 2.5+ which is a 4 way setup with full length dividers with completely boxed compartments. With this construction clubs can't slip from one compartment to another by sliding between the dividers. Very clutch in my experience.

Ok, i see what you are saying. No it isn't inclosed like that. However clubs cannot get tangled in another compartment. Only on its own.

Grips can slide between the dividers on the sides of the bag and catch/rub other grips and can also snag and wear/tear those divider setups. Boxed is pretty clutch
