I sometimes see that while hitting indoors into a net, that launch numbers will seem really low. Then when I get outside they are different, and much more playable. Lots of factors at play that can affect numbers inside vs. outside.

Round #2 with the SIM. I had an amazing driving round yesterday on a very narrow course. Was able to bomb it over many trees to cut some doglegs, with real ease. I hit various drives 300 yards +, which is awesome for me, i think the longest was a real flushed one, about 316, left me 40 yards from the green. At first I was concerned about the height (this goes really really high) but then I figured, there must be something good going on still, since these are going way longer than my average. So I don't mind the high tee shots with the SIM now. Huge bonus is the face feels stable at impact, helping me diminish my snap hooks.

Right on! A very good driving round for me yesterday too. I think I'm close to dialed in. Have 2 settings I need to finalize on. Pretty sure I know where I'll end up.

The 10g silver weight is likely going about half way toward the center from where it is pictured. The pictured setting gives just a touch too much fade.

Hit both the Sim Max and Sim with both Mitsubishi D and HZRDUS Smoke Green X. The HZRDUS was 70 grams and the Mitsubishi was 60.

I had faster ball speeds and lower spin with the SIM. They both feel really good! I had a tour issued M1 that was my favorite driver of recent years. I think the SIM and Max feel very similar.

I walked out of the store today with the SIM and the Mitsubishi Diamana S Limited in 60X. I'm going to test on the course this setup and my Tensei Orange Pro 60 TX.

dont ever trust the old store monitors too much...........especially if you are a lefty..... for example for my SIM fitting the old GC they were using at the store wasn't picking up my right numbers (swing speed or spin, or anything). Initially the spin showed at 1,100 when we all knew that wasn't real. then they figured they had not positioned the machine correctly for me, after 10 mins tweaking with it, I was able to hit 20-25 more balls with avg spin of around 2300. of course, I bought the SIM.

Posted this in another thread, so not sure if I should here but this one might have more interest. Just got my SIM Max, ordered the HZRDUS smoke green 70 in 6.5 flex. The diamond logo says 2.8 torque, 70g, 6.5. This is not what was listed on the TM or PX website for 6.5 (3.2 degrees). Does this mean it’s actually a 6.5TX? In that case, might be too stiff for me. I swing 105 with fairly aggressive tempo. They also list a 20g back weight.

I was thinking it looks massive compared to my G400

SIM 10.5 with a GD Tour AD IZ X on order. Coming from an M3 with a Tensei PO TX, the sound, feel, ball filght, distance, and spin was an incredible difference. Dropped spin by around 800rpm! Without that, just the look, sound, and feel alone was enough to order it.

Now the waiting begins! Excited to get back on a lm to text out the final club. Will report back findings.

Word to the wise for those of you considering adding weight to the front track.

If you intend to add the weight to the center then count on much lower spin than without the added weight. The standard weight is 10g. I added a 4g weight and have done a lot of testing. Part of my testing included both weight nearly centered. I was spinning the standard loft 9 head between 2000 and 2500 (avg spin 2250 over 6 shots). With both weights centered I hit a few balls that dropped out of the sky. Launch and spin both come down. One click up in loft solved the problem instantly but wanted to give a heads up. Some folks won't like having to loft up with added weight centered in the front track.

I wondered if this was the case, thanks for confirming. I added lead tape to the rails on either side of SIM and I think that added to the forgiveness.

My Sim Max is 201 grams. I requested in 44.75". I checked the weight on the back and its 11 grams. I have had playing partners already comment on how great it sounds. Its definitely more muted than the demos we have at the club. Not sure what this means but they are definitely adding weight to heads to get SW right.
