Pretty fair in what respect? The discussion about Reed's questionable behavior on the course doesn't require substantiation by association with a person outside golf.

The behavior of Patrick Reed stands on its own, just as the behavior of Bill Belichick stands on its own.

The thing is. What I see is people with predisposed hate , who are mad that each wouldn’t kiss butt and act remorseful after being caught doing what soooo many others do and get away with. The others get by because they play the game and kiss the public And the media’s rears . So in that sense yes. Similar. But until it’s all enforced equally I don’t see either as worse than the rest of the lie improvers on tour.

Not even close to what I'm saying, and you're quoting something about apologizing that I did not say or even allude to. I'm saying if you can't see the difference with just how much further Reed bends the rules compared to others then it's not worth even debating with you. I don't agree with anyone bending the rules but he does it so much more blatantly and egregiously that it's no longer bending the rules, it's cheating. I actually like Reed much more than most and think having a "heel" in golf is great for the game, but I also can be objective and see him for what he is. I've never seen anybody else do what he has been caught red handed doing, like the bunker incident, and everyone that's ever been around him going back to his junior days says the same thing. We get it, you like Reed and like being the contrarian in this debate, but this isn't a case of people just ganging up on him because they don't like him.

and no. As a golfer I’m not a particular Reed fan. I do enjoy that he doesn’t play the game with the media or the fans . Their lust for Gratification is really sick at times.

Don't generalize. Many people cheat at a variety of things whether it be filing taxes, their relationships (marriages) or schoolwork.
