Stroke Lab vs Stroke Lab Black

Is there a major difference in these models. I have read that odyssey switched up the insert in the black line for better feel/feedback. Has anyone tested the new black models? Thanks.

Firmer feel off the face for sure. The regular stroke labs almost feel cushioned compared to the black

I think opposite, original felt clicky, hard, sold mine before it saw the course. I have a rossie flow in the black, love it, feels like a true mix of the white hot and micro hinge.

i will say better feed back. I thought the original was difficult to get a feel for pace. Whether you think firmer/softer I will say the black models I feel more in control of. I can feel every putt unlike the original that seemed to have the occasional “hot face” effect.

Just finished two days of putting 3 hrs worth with all odyssey stroke lab stroke lab black and triple track putters. So the regular stroke lab felt much more softer mushier deader. I wouldnt say the worse definitely doable. Some models even feel slightly better then others in the stroke lab regular. Stroke lab black and triple track definitely is a upgrade on feel and sound. What you put in is what you feel and hear with these new models. Very nice touch. Soft but hard enough to have really good feedback of how you hit it. Bought the triple track 10. Im actually a metal milled more harsh feeling fan. I have a o works r line which i think has such a great insert in that line. I have no complaints though with these new models. Lots of great tech from this brand worth the money if you can get it. I sound like a company rep jeez.

Somebody talk me out of buying the armlock #7. $250 seems pretty reasonable consider TM wants $350-400 for spider S/X and there's no arm lock or "heavy" versions.

The Bird of Prey did not look good to my eye at first but I am glad I gave it a try. This thing is very easy to align and the distance control has been great. If you can get past the Klingon look you will be rewarded with a great putter.

The feel of the SL Black no longer has me wishing for an original White Hot. This is the best feeling and rolling line Odyssey has ever made IMO. The R Line Arrow and Bird of Prey are the stars of the line.

Black Stroke Lab has the closest feel to the White Hot Pro.  WHP is a touch softer but the new insert is the first that has me even considering a switch.

Recently picked up a Stroke Lab Black 7s on sale and love the feel. Solid audible feedback and not too mushy feeling, definitely firmer than regular Stroke Lab.
