Sub $40 polo/small company recommendations?

Looking to revamp my polos for this year and don’t want to break the bank. I’ve used Footjoy the last 2 years but want to go with something different. I’ve always liked the “heathered” look and like giving smaller businesses my business if their products are good (switched to MG Golf for my gloves 2 years ago and won’t go back!) Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I routinely find polos that are less than $40 at Kohl's. In store or online.

Most small companies charge way more than big name. See bdraddy or linksoul. Your best bet is Burlington for big name cheaper ones. Any company selling a new polo for sub 40 probably has poor quality and isn’t worth it

Have you gone to Marshall's or TJMaxx? You can get name brand polo's at a good price. I never could see paying full price for golf clothes.

The pga tour brand and Pebble Beach brand at the PGA Superstore are pretty good. I get most of mine at brand outlet stores. I’ve found polos under $40 at Nike, Adidas and Under Armour outlets.

Most of my polo shirts, now, are Uniqlo - not a small company, but, no logo, and, fairly inexpensive.

Uniqlo is good if you want some quality and a decent price. Small company + low price usually means trash unfortunately.

EBay has Peter Millar, FJ, Donald Ross, Dunning, Greyson, etc and you can find em for $40 or less. Sometimes new with tags, sometimes lightly worn.

Good move on the Ping polos. I ordered two before christmas and like them so much, I just ordered 3 more. Can't beat the price/quality at roughly $25 each.

Uniqlo is decent. You can find polos on sale for less than $40. eBay is a good resource

I bought one color of 5 or 6 different PING polo styles from TGW in early December. Upon receiving them, I liked them so much that I went back and ordered every color in some styles and most colors in other styles. My closet is now filled with PING polos. The ones that started out more expensive before the TGW sale are the most comfortable golf shirts I've ever owned. Their "practice" t-shirts are really soft and comfortable too.

How do Ping polo's fit? Do they run large or small?

If you are looking for any tour quality shirt for the Ryder cup, Players championship, or US open. Fanatics is a great place to look good quality brands with lots of discounts

The sizing is similar to FJ in that a small Ping is like a medium in Nike or UA. But the cut is less boxy than FJ.

Steinmart, I found Oxford polos for 7-23 bucks. I shop for polos off season and raid the clearence racks.

I did this kind thing last year and switched entirely over to Izod performance polos. Their sizing is perfect for me and there are a ton of different styles. You can get them prettty regularly for $20 and under.

I'm cheap about this. I generally buy a couple of the Ben Hogan shirts at Walmart when they come out in the spring.

TGW does sales all the time. They will have some very nice polos in the 19 dollar range. Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, etc. Just have to watch and see if anything suites your fancy.

Matte Grey polos are really nice. Every so often, they run a "sample" sale. 10 polos for $225. It’s amazing value. You don’t get to pick them, but I kinda dig that.

I usually buy Uniqlo, or Bonobos when it is on clearance. Great fitted polos.
