I was playing yesterday before tweaking my back and I was shocked at the water issue since it hadn't rained where I had been the day before. I stopped by windmill lakes today and was surprised on my drive in that I didn't see more water. It seems the rain is now very localized but today looks good.

Despite our wet start to summer the grass is already starting to go brown in places. There are parts of my club that still haven't recovered from last years unusually sunny and long summer.

Like someone turned the dial to Max Heat now with highs in the upper 80's and low 90's, but the humidity drives the heat index closer to 100.

A few farmers here finally got corn and beans in, and some fields are fallow. Browning has started on parts of my course and hardpan in some spots. The remnant of Tropical Depression Barry should hit us by Tuesday, so I hope the courses here get a decent soaking.

Only one round totally washed out so far this year - BUT - we have slogged in some of wettest condions in memory. Last weekend was more like it. Beautiful

Windmill has been very wet. Played it 3 times this year and rough was way up up, they couldn't mow. Lots of plugged balls fairway or rough. Like the layout but curses on the lousy drainage.

Old thread I know, but When I think of Windmill, I always think “what if?” I don’t think I’ve ever played it dry and I’ve lived near it my entire life. First time on a course was there when I was 5 with my dad. The greens are tricky and undulating but it always plays longer than the card

I agree same here lived in the area most of my life and never is the course dry, it is a real tragedy because it is a great course! BTW SNOW GO AWAY!!

In the day when Windy was dry it was championship caliber track, very good. It’s deteriorated and the greens aren’t even close to days gone by but it’s still a fun track. It can however be VERY wet. BB

Played yesterday in Ohio.

About 43 degrees, occasional showers, wind around 18 mph with 40 mph gust..

 

Sprinkled every now and then, but not that bad.. Nobody showed up at the course, so I had the course all to myself.

Walked a 9 playing 3 balls.. It's was amazing.. I had to take 2 additional clubs, when facing the wind..

oh yeah, found 2 dozen premium balls and 3 dozen practice balls..

 

Going to try to play tomorrow (Monday).. it's going to be in high 20s/low 30s..

Saturday was the first day in a while that I was able to get out. The back nine was closed(rain,) so I walked the front. The wind made it very cold. I am going to take a break from golf until the weather is more agreeable to this old body.

I’m not in Ohio. I’m in Northern Ky about 10 miles from downtown Cincinnati. Weather had been warm but less than favorable for golf. It rains nearly every single Fri-Sunday. Not a mist, downpour after downpour so it’s only simulator golf for me.

My back yard looks like a lake. Monday is going to be in the 60's, but I have other things to do, so I hope to get at least nine in?

It was clear here in Columbus. Some friends went and played Cumberland Trail. Said for this time of year it was good. Hopefully with March right around the corner we’ll be able to play golf. Just don’t want winter in March and April

I ended up playing Saturday at my home course (Cassel Hills). Played pretty well and also got to test out my new pushcart for the first time.

Played my course on Sunday. Gave up after the first nine. From the state of it they are going to be lucky to be up to scratch by the start of the competition season in April. It's been a shockingly wet autumn/winter here and just when it looked like it was finally drying up the rain has come back.

I got pit Sat 2/22/20. I played terribly. It wasn’t warm due to the wind but it was manageable. I was simp,y great to get out on a Sat.

I would love a week of dry weather and sunshine. Everyone at work is getting depressed over how much rain we have gotten, and the horrible flu season on top of it. I am really hoping for an awesome spring??

We've got snow now. Only a dusting and unlikely to get any worse but looks like a wet weekend so no golf. It's a good job I had the week in Turkey earlier this month because me and my mate's 'play all through the winter' is looking at serious risk now :(

Nine days of rain started today, how sad, how very sad. The ground is totally saturated and doesn't need more. Of course this happened, we are in the Ohio valley conference, I blame Ohio.

I thought we were making progress but it's two steps forward, one step back. We had quite a lot of rain last night but at least when it's not raining the sun is now shining and we're - just about - getting temps in double digits. Grass is growing and some trees are starting to bud so hopefully that will help draw moisture out of the ground.

Sunny and 45 degrees right now In Cleveland. We are playing tomorrow South tee it at 10:45am, can’t wait!
