Eye 2 +no+ lob wedge but I have no idea shaft or other specs.

I’d love to know what shaft is in here (label is missing but it appears to be original).

To Ping, I'm fairly certain that KT = KT-M.

From that far back, all that I can vouch for is that the serial number exists and corresponds to the correct set for that era. After that, all info about the set should be taken with a grain of salt. Ping at some point started entering serial #'s into a computer system and virtually all Ping clubs from that era have the same input date. I have even found real Ping clubs that are different but have the same serial number. Depending on who entered the data, determined what the info on the Ping site says.

All that I can tell you is the heads are real and not fake. After that trust what you see in the pictures.

Hey Socrates, just tried to call Ping, but they are closed right now. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. These came as one set, and appear to have been cobbled together and re-shafted.

Thanks a ton, Socrates. This is quite the debacle of a set that Global Golf sent as a Certified Preowned set... Re-shafted, three different serial numbers, etc. Going right back.

Hi Socrates, you seem to know lots about this. Can you please explain what the 'enter date' means? From reading one of your above posts it seems that clubs manufactured at different times can have the same enter date. I had thought it was the date they were made or close to that time. I have had some replies from Ping which include a build date and some with a status date as well as the enter date. Thanks in advance.

Checking a serial number will only tell you it exists and should be a certain product. Does not guarantee it is not fake as you can get a legit serial number for a product and they can make 1000's of that product and use that same serial number. If it's a good fake, Ping will need to see it to confirm it's status.

On the old stuff (like Eye2's), it seems that Ping at some point moved from a paper system to a computer system or changed computer systems and had to enter it in all at once. You therefore get a lot of old product with the same Enter Date instead of the actual date the product was made. With the newer product, the Enter Date is the date that the product was actually entered into the system. It usually indicates completed date or sometimes date that modifications were done. If clubs were sent back for modifications, you may see the changes made. More often than not, you never will. I've gone back and checked clubs that were altered and the new specs rarely show up.

There is other information on the website that shows current orders and more info, but that is only visible on your specific account orders. Ping CSR's have all that at their disposal and may or may not tell you more info about production status. When I paste in info about clubs, I often delete info not needed, but it depends on which OS I'm on at the time and how much time I have. Mac's are terrible for copy and pasting the Ping format. You also are limited to serial numbers in your global area (I can only see N. American clubs).

Typical info:

Shaft - usually the shaft installed

Shaft Step - Usually shows nothing. Can indicate Hard or Soft Stepped

Cushin - Insert in shaft if used

Length STD - Will indicate custom lengths

CLRCD/LIE - Color code or Custom lie

Loft - This is where you might see Power Spec or something to indicate custom bend or nothing

Grip DL- Grip used

Grip+ Additional info (rarely used) about wraps

Swing Weight - i.e. D0

Status STAMPED - Shows that it has been engraved (name and/or number) has been done

Enter Date1995-04-01 - Hopefully the date entered into system (completed) or altered.
