2019 Titleist T100 irons

I'll try! The course has been closed a bit lately, either due to extreme heat (40 degrees plus) or catastrophic fire danger. Then when it is open, there's all the smoke to contend with - it's so thick that it's some of the worst air quality in the world. I live in the Adelaide Hills, which have caught fire so any times over the past few months that it's kind of become second nature to just work from home with one ear on the emergency services radio feed. And then it rains! WTF is going on? :|

Had my T100s for about 6 rounds now and can say they're probably the best irons I've hit. Coming from 3 straight sets of 712, 716, 718 CBs and there is definitely more of a clicky feel compared to those irons but it is quite satisfying and the ball does go further and higher. I was looking for more launch in the long irons from CB's and thats exactly what I got.

Could someone do me a solid and take a set of calipers to the hosel of the T100 irons so I can order the correct ferrules for a reshaft? Thanks in advance for your help!

Anyone using PX LZ (5.5) in these heads? Any problems with too much spin?

have these in my i200s and really like the shaft. Would assume that they don’t as they are putting the LZ in the new upcoming T-100s.

That’s why I’m wondering...low spin head, higher spin shaft. T100 has AMT.

Can anyone compare the turf interaction between the t100 and the Srixon z785? The numbers are really similar indoors hitting off a mat so I'm having a hard time deciding between these two. Currently playing the 785's, but want to build a new set with a different shaft and just trying to pick a head.

Debating on grabbing a set of these but I don't know if they can kick my CB 501s out... In terms of feel they can't compete, but forgiveness could persuade me.

Just sold my 785 recently for the t100. Played the 785 since they first came out. I find the t100 makes me take a better divot. With the 785 I was much more shallow and hit a bunch thin for some reason (bigger sole?). Hitting the ball more in the center now and thus more consistent from a spin standpoint for me.

I completely agree. I have zero complaints with the look, feel or performance of these. I've been an iron hoe for a while now and I'm completely content.

I have had these in the bag since November. I cannot decide if I love them or if they are just another iron set.

Out of curiosity I found a set of the Wilson Staff Model blades (I'm lefty so they are hard to come by) and I have used them a little bit indoors.

I cannot decide if the Wilson's are truly better or if it's just in my head. The data seems to favor the Staff Models in terms of consistency and forgiveness (as crazy as that sounds). But I can't tell if that's a honeymoon phase or if it's real.

I think they are one of the slimmest profile looking ap2s I've seen in awhile, great iron. Only thing is is lacking is a better looking cavity but it's not like the cavity's on the other ap2's ever looked that good either.

I’d definitely agree on the look of the cavity, they take a little getting used to but that look from address soon makes you forget about what they look like at the back.

Having had a set of T100s for about 6 weeks now - I am sold; great irons is every respect.

I was using my old Hogans for a while, and while they were still great - I am getting decent benefits from the T100.

I picked up about 5mph ball speed - so that makes a decent difference to the carry distance - although these are giving me very consistent distances, which is the most important thing to me.

Was enough to make me change and I am glad I did.

The plural and possessive forms of T100 keeps throwing me off. Takes me a second to figure out if someone is talking about the new T100S or T100’s.

I haven't been playing much lately and the last couple of times was in 20+ mph winds so scoring conditions weren't idea. I finally played my first round with the T100's in good conditions on Sunday and was really impressed with them. I didn't score great due to a few blow up holes but none of those were due to bad iron swings. I lost a few strokes off the tee and threw away more than I would like to admit around the greens. Even the guys I was playing with talked about how solid I hit the ball all day.

 

Also, did any of you guys catch Matt at TXG's iron fitting? Ian is playing these and he just fit Matt into them which speaks volumes about these clubs. I think TXG moves the needle a bit in the equipment world and I would expect to see more guys give these a shot.

you have the "S" version? I play the 712CB's and they have been great......how would it be going to the T100-S? Ive been dying to see a direct comparison.

aha, I get what you mean.

For me I have T100 irons, I don't want them any stronger. I hit the ball very low and my spin is quite low - I don't want it any lower by having stronger lofts!
