Taylormade SIM hybrid?

Right but the lie angle is 60.5* which is fairly upright compared to G410, Apex, etc etc. I was hitting this with the stock Ventus 6R and hitting it dead nuts straight still. My old Titleist hybrid (maaybe a 915 or something?) used to be a big sweeping draw, even if my miss with driver and other clubs was a big cut aka slice. This was like 4-5 years ago like you said but I would was expected this club to still be prone to being pulled because it is a bit more upright than what's traditional now. So... it must have a more open or neutral face, or some kind of internal weighting to help fight this. My 818 sat noticeably more flat. Maybe with a weaker shaft I was getting more droop so it was actually flattening out dynamically. IDK but I'm getting fit this summer again so we'll see what's actually going on. No GCQ dots at PGATSS so all I get is ball data.

I can’t comment on the sim specifically. I haven’t hit one. I did see a lefty one being hit. And the guy is a hooker and loves it.

id venture a guess of neutral weighting . TM hasn’t made anything really draw biased in a long while. Is the shaft length the same ? I ask because it may make the relative lie angle change if it’s shorter. ( unless I’m thinking backwards ?). My hybrid is not super long. and I’m tall. I’d have to measure. But I think 39 is what it is.

1) How does Golfwrx blank out h.e.l.l. but lets you call a guy a hooker?? lol

2) I was hitting the 4h. It's .25'' longer than what's "normal" which is 40''. So it would technically that makes it more upright.

3) 39'' is quite short for a hybrid unless it's meant to be a 5 or 6h? I play my woods a little short, but I generally leave all other clubs at std length.

I got to hit the SIM hybrid a second time yesterday and it confirms it, don't like the feel. Wouldn't game it..

it’s a 4 hybrid head. That loft and length gaps perfect behind my 4 wood. For reference my irons are 1/2 over and my wedges are all same length from pw-Lw So length is something I work out to complete comfort.

can confirm doesn’t hook like most hybrids. I play my clubs flat and was worried about the lie angle but it’s a nonissue for me so far. I’ve got the 19d with the KBS hybrid shaft fwiw

I got mine with heaviest Ventus and tipped it an inch. I hooked the first two. Tried hitting a cut on the 3rd swing and hit it nicely. Might need some lead tape on the toe side.

I'm curious to see what length everyone is playing this hybrid at. I play my 3 wood at 42.5" so shorter than standard and I ordered this hybrid a half inch shorter as well. I love my UDI at 40" and this hybrid will be 40.25". Wondering if people are matching their driving irons or just playing at stock length?

I hit it against my Ping G410 Hybrid and the Ping for me is truly anti-left for me,plus just as long and easier to hit high.

The SIM did feel head heavy, good but not spectacular.

I just hit the SIM and I will say the HYPE far exceeds the performance. I hit it against my 910H and gained 3 yards......ill pass

They can't all be pxg clubs that get 15 yards.? How about dispersion? Launch angles?descent angles? I only hit the one I had a couple times and it was like a rocket but didn't really go up too high as far as I was concerned. I can hit a 4 iron like a rocket to the moon, I was just hoping for some help out of the rough.

i have a very strange swing i think because no matter what brand i hit, the numbers barely change. everything is within 5 yards, launch angles are very close and i spin all clubs higher than i should. The clubs are great but a few yards isnt worth $240 to me. Beautiful clubs though

i hit the pings and the Maverik as well.....alll within 3 yards of one another. Even the fitter said im an anomaly. I really want to upgrade my clubs but based on testing results it would not be a performance upgrade. All of em look beautiful and feel great though

agree 3 yards gained not worth to justify 240 club. for me I am looking for hybrid i can hit straight and not hook it. i try many of them, currently the apex hybrid but same result. i give this a try on the LM and see the result.

for me the SIM gave me what i was looking for...extra 10 yards i needed to fill my gaps better. Coming from a BB 815 20* (turned down to 19*) the SIM is giving me a higher ball flight and more distance. It's also about an inch longer so that could be it but i'll take it for now and see how it plays out. I've had the 815 for a long time so looking at the SIM, which has a completely different feel and shape, will take some time getting used to. Also, i know a lot folks love the sound and feel of the SIM, but i personally like the ting-y sound/feel of the 815. Playing Friday and hopefully Sunday so i'll see how it plays out on the course.

Just saw the SIM hybrid in the store for the first time yesterday. Best looking hybrid I've ever seen. If it ha and adjustable hosel like my M3's do, I'd probably be in the market for two of them. Since it doesn't, I'm not interested. I still wonder if they are going to continue the GAPR line or fold those back into the SIM lineup? I think the GAPR's are hideous, but it seems that TaylorMade is only putting the adjustable hosels in the GAPR lineup now. That makes me sad.

So I have a couple of rounds with the 3h with hzrdus smoke 6.5 and I am not a big fan of the shaft. When I get agressive it hits bombs which was good when I was going to have it as a tee club but I am going to swap the shaft to a tour ad iz 95x. Does anyone know if the head uses a special ferrule?

First time demo the Sim Hybrid. Love it it! For me... the real deal. The 3h with Ventus 7s was awesome. It’s a must for me.

I have the Sim Max 4 Hybrid in the bag, played 6 rounds so far and have not gone left as most of the other hybrid's I've gamed.

I have had the Epic Flash, Epic, Maverick and the G410 and do feel the Sim Max is the most consistent of the bunch.

I will also say I have a M4 hybrid and it is very similar.

Has anyone hit the 3, 4 and 5? I am looking for 2 clubs between my 3 wood and 5 iron (26 degrees P770), would you all go 19-25 as opposed to 19-22?@n_rones How is the gap from the 19 - 22 - p770 5 iron for you?

A friend of mine is about an 8 hdcp. He got the 4 & 5 first. Loved them and then added the 3 to do just that. He is very happy. For him he good with the non-Velocore Ventus stock clubs. He uses Red Ventus's (Velocore) in his driver and 3wd.

I go 225 carry 5 wood 205 carry 22 hybrid 185 carry 5 iron. My 5 wood and hybrid are both a little under standard length.
