Chicken? Grilled Chicken?

 

Chicken is for lunch on leg day. I have *never ordered chicken in a restaurant. Well, just at this once place that makes thin, rolled, slices of breast stuffed with prociutto, fontina cheese, and spinach with a rich mushroom sauce.

 

Chicken.

 

C'mon, TW. You just won your first Major in a decade. Live a little. Get some oysters and fat sliced bacon. Steak is fine but top it with some foie gras. Get some stuffed game birds. Antipasti. Bring out some lobsters and bowls of melted butter. Creme Brule, triple layer chocolate cake.

 

Twix! Everything!

For an appetizer I’d do a dish I just had . It’s a German open faced sandwich. But I’d parse it back to half for an appetizer.

it’s a very thin whole wheat slice toasted with German meatloaf topped with tomatoe , onion and a hard boiled egg minced. All with a fresh Dill dressing. It’s sounds dumb and simple. But holy cow is every bite bursting with so many flavors. If you don’t know German meatloaf you’re missing out. It’s nothing like the american version.

 

for the main event - a Mini London Broil That is injected with clover honey 2 days prior . Then basted in a honey BBQ sauce the day of and wrapped tight to sit on the smoker for 11-12 hours . Served with a side of beef gravy with shallots, and new potatoes. Finished with real homemade Cat head biscuits . If you don’t know what a real buttermilk biscuit tastes like , you haven’t lived a full life . You cannot buy one in any store or restaurant. Why ? There’s a small window from mixing dough to cook time So there’s no way to prep ahead and then cook and serve later You make the dough and then bake Period . I’d have molasses and butter on the table for the bread .

 

no dessert needed Your pants won’t fit by this point anyway And the biscuits double as both gravy soakers and dessert .

 

I made this roast last week So tender no knife needed . Enzymes in the honey start breaking the meat down from the inside. It’s heaven

Don't be too hard on old Tiger or Bubba for their uninspired selections. It could be worse.

Can you imagine if Dustin won? It'd be dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets and fruit rollups.

I'd go for bean burritos with chicharron and (Colorado) green chili, but would also assume that the cooks and waitstaff would be stiffed on the tips. I mean seriously, $7.15 an hour is a lot of money to those people.
