Yeah, I'm gonna need more on the True Temper EX Weight & Lock shafts than a picture with a lot of Japanese language on it. These are the first I've seen of them and I'd like to know more.

According to Rex Hoggard on GC, Ryo is looking to get back to the PGA Tour full-time and is willing do it via the Korn Ferry Tour route.

Well, the Japanese isn't very helpful, but it says:

"All the shafts are put in the same weight band by adding the appropriate "Weight Lock" to each manufactured shaft."

The bit at the bottom says:

"With the Dynamic Gold Tour Issue EX they have managed to achieve shafts with the same weight band."

"Regardless of whether you're a pro or an amateur, all players can now use the same shafts (Tour Player Weight)."

Which doesn't sound very helpful, but the Japanese True Temper website gives a bit more info.

It says they apply some special material to the inside of the shaft in order to eliminate the weight differences in individual shafts that arise through the manufacturing process. This material has no effect on the flex, kick point, or performance of the shaft. This allows them to produce shafts with even tighter tolerances, allowing every player, not just tour pros, to have iron shafts within the same weight band, which they call "Tour Player Weight".

So instead of just tighter post production sorting, they're adding something inside the shaft. There's a warning on the bottom of the page not to push rods and things inside the shaft because it may damage the "Weight lock".
