Heavy Graphite Fairway Shafts? (95g+)

I'm looking to up the weight in my fairway wood and trying to find as heavy a shaft as possible. It's really tough when you start getting above the ~90g threshold.

Shafts I know of:

Tour AD DI 9X - 97g - easy to get

Nunchuck - ~100g - never tried it, but not much interest in it

Blue Board 103x - 105g - would be ideal but impossible to find

What are my options out there?

thepeoplesclubs.com has the Atmos back in 9 TX , and the tour only Ventus Black/Blue/Red in 9 or 10 specs. AD DI 9X is also there as you stated. Tensei pro orange are available in 90 TX as well. I use a Tour Green 95 TX from a few years back off ebay in the SLDR graphics and I love it, my 3 wood is just as long as any other AND much much straighter.

UST Elements also made 90 series wood shafts, but only speaking from my own experience don't get a Wind 9X unless you want something very soft to flex

Rombax had a 95 gram shaft

You could go old school NV/NVS 95 or 105

HD9, or even 10

Hard to find but there was a VS Proto 95 wood shaft

There's a bunch of options, just not as much that's relatively new.

Old doesn't bother me, there's a lot of older fantastic golf shafts... finding them is the hardest part, lol. The Rombax P95 is a unicorn for sure.

Rombax P95x I believe is 93g. I also believe it's counterbalanced, which is why it doesn't feel as heavy. I think you can find them here or ebay every so often.

Lots of older Fuji stuff in that weight category.

Mitsu D+ LTD also came in 90g, I think.

As others have said, Fujikura Rombax P95 is a great fairway shaft. Fujikura Pro Tour Spec 93 can be found on ebay occasionally. Or as was mentioned earlier, Will Peoples has Fujikura Atmos TS Black 9X or Ventus Black 9X/10X and Red 9X.

UST Elements Prototype (platinum) 9F5.

Oban Tour Limited 100 05.

Tensei Pro White 90tx.

Attas International 9s and x.

Ventus blue 10x.

Don’t sleep on the nunchuk. It’s a mainstay in my f6 baffler at 41.75”. It’s not nearly as stiff or difficult to elevate as its reputation suggests.

Pretty sure that’s a hybrid shaft? Where have you seen these?? Any idea how to get some of them? I’ve seen the Tensei 90TX in Rory’s bag. I’ve not see the Ventus Blue in the 10X yet. But I would kill to have the Tour Limited 100 and an 80 for the driver. That’s one of my favorite shafts!

Yup, my bad. Try reaching out to JD @ JD’s clubs. Every time I couldn’t get a shaft anywhere, he was able to get it.

Ust v2 comes in a 96, think 9f4 is the code.

Also Wishon makes hybrid shafts with a .335 tip:

 

S2S Black R (95g) and S (100g) at 41" raw. You could get creative with the tipping to make it work. 0" too trim for a 2h.

I know of a couple Oban Tour Limited 100s.

 

Pretty sure they can be had too for the right price.

Are those wood shafts or hybrid shafts? I searched eBay for the NV 105 but only came up with .370 hybrid shafts.

Probably tough to find anymore but the original all blue Project X 10A2, uncut weight was 100 grams.

That's the tough thing... all the great, classic heavyweight shafts are so hard to find nowadays!

As a couple others have mentioned, Will Peoples has the tour only Ventus Black 9X and 10x and Red 9X in stock. Unfortunately nothing over 8X in the Blue profile. Check his thread, he’s offering GolfWRX a 15% off coupon code that should work with any of these shafts.

Wood shafts, I definitely have both in woods 3w and 5w respectively. I am guessing they weren’t popular shafts/weights so they are few and far between, but they do show up occasionally. Good luck with the the hunt.

I did a quick search, there is a 105 .335 out of the UK on there now.

Hey guys, sorry to bring up a slightly old thread... does anybody have the tipping codes for the Rombax P95? I've found one and it says it's tipped 1''. Looking to slap it in a 5w, so this could be ideal.

Do you know about when you posted that info? There's 100 pages with the string "rombax P95" in it somewhere. If you know a general timeline... it can help me narrow it down a bit. Worst case... I email Fuji I guess.
