Kevin Burns Putter Review

Received my putter this week from Kevin Burns and it is a beauty. Being left handed it can be difficult to find high quality equipment that is made to order and per my individual specifications and wants. Kevin made me a putter to my exact requested specifications. He got it all right. The milling, the finish, and engraving are second to none. And I was fortunate to play a round of golf today and the putter performed beyond my expectations. The diamond milled face is firm yet soft at the same time which really helped my distance control. I made several good putts over 15 feet and had a very good day on the greens. This putter exceeds my expectations. I own over 20 putters in my collection and this one is second to none. Both Kevin and Brenda were great to work with and their attention to detail and customer service is greatly appreciated. If you are looking for a new putter, get fitted for your specifications and putting stroke first and then place an order with Kevin. I highly recommend his putters. Enjoy the pictures.

Wow!! Kevin Burns bringing the heat. I own 5 of his putters and just placed an order for a new one recently. I have to agree that their customer service and attention to detail is second to none. This just makes me that more excited for mine.

Never heard of him till now Went to his site and that reptilian model looks crazy! I want but kind of scared how much it would cost

Agreed. His pyramid milling is the real deal and the sound and feel are exquisite. I’m auctioning a Burns 703 mallet on the Bay right now because it’s a little too upright for me, but man does it roll the ball so friggin well. It’s actually kind of hard to let it go, but I know it’s too upright and I will likely target another at some point with the right lie for me. This gives me confidence that when I do buy a proper custom from him I’ll be satisfied. Thank you sir.

I've been following him the past few years and I really wanted one of his lefty options then when I saw the starting price it kinda stopped me dead in my tracks. I still kinda want one but that price point is a giant hill to overcome for me and I'm sure others too.

Yeah. Buying directly from him is very expensive. I would say buy one used, but I’ve never seen a used lefty pop up for sale.

Yup I saw an old model pop up on eBay but I didn't buy it cause wasn't really a model I liked from what I remember.

 

I can always just admire some work from afar, as some is kinda ugly imo.

I have an older Burns, one if the ones with the hidden insert. I really like it. I had one of the newer ones with the pyramid milling and I found it too soft feeling for my tastes. I like just a solid, slightly crisp feel at impact.

Here is an older twin I got in trade a few years ago. Same flow neck and milled Pyramid Groove Technology.

I also have a very old Plumbers Neck K.B. that I found on Ebay way back. Unfortunately not many left hand Burns putters for sale on secondary market. I want to say I have only seen 2-3 every for sale used. High quality milling all done in house.

That's for sure, I think in the past year or so looking I came across only 1 lefty on ebay and it was a really old model.

I recently sold my used Kevin Burns 703 mallet (which I bought used), but only because the lie angle was too upright for me. I loved the feel and roll but it felt like I was perched over the ball too much. Anyways, it was the pyramid milled version in good shape with a nice SuperStroke counterweight grip. I was pretty surprised at how little return I got. His putters truly are flying under the radar. It’s a shame because the feel and roll are top notch.

I now plan to wait until a used one with the right lie pops up for sale and buy another.

Picked up this kevin Burns 9303 SN recently. Used for sure but great weight, sits nice, and feels good. Haven't gamed it yet. Anyone else have one? What’s the insert material?
