EI Curve for Aldila Rogue White?

Anybody seen one? Can readily find them for MCA products on their website, but Aldila wasn't doing this when I recently looked.

Since the Silver is similar to the classic Green profile (bump in stiffness above the tip area) and black is similar to the classic Blue profile (stiffer handle, soft mid), I wonder if the White profile is a more linear profile not unlike Diamana Blue and the OG HZRDUS Black. Pretty strong consensus that the White doesn't have any readily discernible hinge/kick points, which would indicate a more linear profile. Haven't logged a ton or rounds with my Rogue White, but so far that's my theory of what's going on with it design wise. I get along with it OK (which is typically how I mesh with very linear/smooth profiles), but still get better results with shafts like D+, Pro Orange etc.

From talking to MCA, this is how I would break down the Rogue 130 MSI shaft;

Silver - white board

Black - red board

White - blue board

All profiles seem to be massaged in some way to give them the characteristics Aldila desired. Speaking to MCA, I called the White a hybrid of the Tensei Pro Blue’s smooth feel/load, Diamana ZF’s stability in the tip and handle and with less counter balancing than Tensei Pro Orange. MCA’s rep liked the break down saying Rogue White launches like TPB, spins like ZF and gives a bit more ball speed thanks to the counter balance.

You can't really match shafts from different companies based on their assement of the launch. Hi, mid, and low mean very different things to the different OEM's and even to different shaft models for the same OEM. Personally, I'd match the Silver with the white board, but the Black with the MCA blueboard, and then put the white in between the two. The only Aldila match to the red board I can think of would be the 2kxv orange or the Rogue Elite orange (or go all the way back to the classic NVS).

Aldila has never historically really spent a lot of it's time and effort on true higher launching shafts, they've always focused on the low (greens/silver) and mids (blues/black) and even their mids tend to be stiffer (lower) than other OEM's mid launch shafts. But that's just my opinion on it.

Completely agree that you can't classify shafts by their launch; the way a player interacts with the shaft will always be king in determining launch conditions. That's why we're discussing EI curve similarities and differences in this thread and not marketing classifications placed on shafts by manufacturers.

Yes. But unfortunately, the EI charts on the MRC site, and most of the ones found on the golfshaftreview web site are a lot less helpful than they first might seem. When you have charts with no actual numbers on them for the EI value, there is no way to really accurately compare shafts across different charts even if Aldila was to match what MRC is doing. You have to find one chart that contains both the shafts in question. We could do that with the Wishon software but it's woefully out of date by now and doesn't include shafts from probably the last 5 years. The Titlest custom shaft selection guide has butt and tip frequencies, not a very complete picture but at least you know it's done in a uniform way across different shaft OEM's. Other than that, there are not a lot of resources (at least that I'm aware of) to get the information you're looking for.

That makes me sad lol I have 130msi Silver I was using my Cobra F9, it was great but the counter balance kept throwing me off (My excuse for duck hooks LOL).

I put in old faithful Aldila Phenom NL (which I understand is also a whiteboard equivalent) the feel is just better

I get what you're saying, but don't really need to get to that level of exact detail to find information that's useful for me. Can pretty much tell if a shaft is going to be a great fit, just ok, or a hot mess for me based on looking at the shape of its EI curve in a vacuum (which shows relative stiffness of regions of a shaft in comparison to each other). In the driver, typically things like Pro Orange suit me best because of the combination of relatively stiff tip with relatively soft handle. In fairway wood application, not sure I've enjoyed another shaft more than Rogue White while my impressions of it in the driver are more mixed. Hence my curiosity.
