Best value course in Phoenix area

Traveling to Phoenix with some friends and family, and looking for some ideas on the "best value" courses. Not necessarily looking for "cheapest" courses, but instead if you were to compare one course at $250/round against another course at $150/round as very similar courses, I'd probably choose the $150/round course because it's a great track for the price. Or is there any courses that are "must play"? Previously I have played Talking Stick - The O’odham Course and Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia.

Courses on my short list right now are:

Your courses are fine for out of town guest. But only Wekopa Saguaro would be considered "worth the price..." imo. But for a visitor, that of course changes the perception.

 

Verde River, Southern Dunes, Wickenburg Ranch, Verrado Courses are going to be the answer to your question. You can play these for less than those 3 you note and would be equivalent value and well worth the cost.

Likely only playing 1 of the 3 listed above, as I'm traveling with people who aren't as hardcore golfers as I am, and will complain about the costs. Hence the question about "best value." Thanks for Verde River, Southern Dunes, Wickenburg Ranch, and Verrado options, I'll check them out!

Verrado or Wickenburg Ranch.

We played all the better courses on our 2018 trip and for sure WeKoPa Saguaro was the standout for quality and value.

The others I would rate for value are Ak Chin Southern Dunes and Wickenberg Ranch.

Then Troon North, Grayhawk, Boulders are all solid 36 holes but expensive.

Quintero was good to play once but its not great.
