Great Golfing Weather Is On It's Way

Old Course tomorrow. Supposed to be cold and dry with a gentle breeze. In St Andrew's that could mean Polar Bears wandering the streets.

Wow. Weather forecast is suggesting very little rain for the next week or two and temperatures possibly getting into double digits down my end of the UK. Has winter finally begun to loosen its grip?

Oh man, I know. I lived in downtown Nashville for a year during my consulting days. Was sick to my stomach yesterday reading about it.

I live in Central New Jersey, we haven't even had a half inch of snow all winter, all courses are open & temps have been pretty mild this winter, in February we only had 5 days of below normal temps & that was only a degree or two below. We've had a lot of rain, but courses are dry now, played yesterday in 60* temps, next week may be in low to mid 60's for a couple of days, looks like no snow for us this winter.

Yes indeed gentlemen, it's nearing that time to say (expletive) off to old man Winter and get back to what matters most in life.

I played my first round of the season last Sunday with a high temp of 6° C accompanied by a nasty windchill but I was warm and fuzzy inside just from the happiness of being out there.

Stunning day on The Old Course. Shortish tees but less than a club wind and bright sunshine. Course was busy. Hit it great, as did my partners. So good to play on dry fairways. I can recommend the Road Hole Lager, brewed locally and a genuine Pilsner. Bar manager said the Links Trust were monitoring Coronavirus with a sense of dread as their biggest bookings now come from China and Korea and they also spend big on accommodation, food and souvenirs. Some bunker renovation and general repairs but next Open will be same as Zach's set up. Planning a trip to hit the New and Castle courses next month before the prices go up.

We've had some dry and high temp (60's and 70's) here in Texas for about a month or so now. However, the wind has continuously eaten our asses.

70 today in Delaware, then mid to high 60's rest of the week. I couldn't be more ready for the nice weather!!!

Played this morning. Course absolutely soaked. Balls plugging all over the place. Fresh air, exercise and conversation. Three ball played 18 holes in 2 hours 5 mins. Need strong winds and no rain.

I've been waiting for two weeks for My fitted clubs to come in. The whole time I was waiting it was beautiful. The day the clubs arrive - nothing but rain for the next 11 days straight! :/

As a proud and happy to own it "fair weather golfer" I'm excited for warmer weather and Spring here in Virginia... now if this stupid virus would go away so the courses would open up again!

The muni courses have closed, but not the private ones. I have played twice this week at two courses. Walking is the best way to go right now. Today was just beautiful weather, some wind, but not to bad as it was 78* F , real nice. Walked nine as the grass is getting tall around the house, and didn't have the time for 18. In fact I got a lot done today, more than I imagined.

I'm in Arizona and it's going to be 76 today and into the 80's later in the week.

The sky is a beautiful blue color. With very few planes in the air, the sky isn't filled with the con trails every day that spread into the usual overcast.

Courses are open, but not as many people as usual. That's good!

I seen a lot of young golfers playing today, so the future of golf looks really good. It was in the 80's and I know I got sun burned. Drank a ton of liquids, and the cart girl was so nice to fill my cup up with ice!!!
