Miura MB 101

Can anyone share some feedback on this iron yet?

I have been playing Tournament Blades for almost a decade cause i love the squarer toe and longer blade length. However its finally time to retire my last set and i am looking for a replacement. Qhqta everyones thoughts on the 101 so far?

Ive been using them since November and I love them. I have been using Steelfibers for 5 years and decided to try steel again on these. I went with KBS $ Tapers and I'm really enjoying them. I've prob played about 20 rounds with them so far. The shape/profile is ideal and the right amount of offset (or lack thereof). I had the 501's before that and just didn't like the offset in the shorter irons. You won't be disappointed with the 101's!

I hit the 101's during my fitting, and I loved them! I would have a combo set of them and the 201, had I not found a steal on some CB 57s. They are what a blade should look like in my opinion, and they feel so PURE!

They are beautfiul clubs. They have a pretty different grind from most late model Miura irons, I think the best gauge on these vs. previous models is wheter the grind is for you or not. I found I liked the MB-001 better due to the additional bounce on the leading edge. Looks on setup are amazing, but weren't for me.

The 101s are great. I have them in my short irons and I've played Miura blades in the past and these do not dig. That was the biggest issue for me on previous models.

I only have a handful of rounds on mine but clubs are everything you'd expect them to be. Absolute perfect looks, amazing feel, and great control. While the sound is different on misses, it doesn't immediately become very clicky like some thinner topline blades. Sound on good strikes is exactly where you want it to be and you know off the face what the ball is going to do. Offset is very very minimal.

I'm a bit of a digger so i did bend them one degree weak to help with that a bit but haven't had any problems since.

 

This is my first set of Miura Blades and maybe my 6th or 7th set of blades but they have lived up to the hype so far. The other sets I've gamed the most in the last year are the Callaway Apex MB's and the P7TW's.

Out of interest, do yours have this dot before the MB-101?

Mine do not have the dot and have no paintfill on the "MB-101"

Thanks for your response. I contacted Miura directly and they confirmed my version have a slightly different grind.

This is word for word what they told me "This is our Global version of the MB-101. It does have a Y grind on the leading edge as a slight difference."

I didn't have a clue they even made different versions!

Could anyone compare the size of the MB 101 to the 2020 Baby blade to the TC 201? pictures of any of the listed together would be great.

How did you acquire a set of MB 101's w/ a Y-Grind? 

I just contacted Miura and they said the "Y-Grind" is not available for the MB 101 & that are no optional grind options available for that Iron?

If you buy from an international Miura dealer, e.g. Tourque, they will have a dot next to "MB-101".  Not sure if this is Y-grind but it's different than US versions.
