Bettinardi Queen B6 2019. Still in your bag?

Forged5

Recommended Posts

After much searching this beauty as been added to the bag for this season.

As a lefty putter, It's frustrating how few choices we have.

My criteria.

Face balanced (this does have the slightest of toe hangs. 1/8)

Carbon milled or softer face (not mushy soft , no insert)

Simple looking at address

Good long sight line

Can pick up the ball with the putter (Yes it's important to me LOL)

Only problem has been adjusting the weight of the head after cutting an inch off the shaft to play at 33".

Settled on regripping with a 30 gm lighter grip and adding some lead tape to the hosel (couldn't cover the gorgeous bottom of that head).

Who's still playing the QB6 2019?

Love to hear your experiences on course.

That's too bad.

Try what I did first. I'm very happy with it now.

Little trial an error.

First it was all lead tape under the head. Felt cumbersome.

By changing grip that allowed me to only have to put 1/3 to 1/2 what I had on the hosel.

Once I get on course in the spring and make sure I'm happy with the weight, I'll leave it alone, add or subtract from the hosel and then pore lead/tungston powder down the shaft the equivalent of what's on the hosel.

When I cut it down I also put the jumbo grip on. Very nice grip. But I like the putter better :)

Replaced with a SS Traxion Tour 2.0 in the new grey. Saved 30 grams!

Missed my QB8 that I got rid of last summer so just got my QB6 about a week ago. Haven’t rolled it yet but hoping I can answer ‘yes’ to your question in the coming weeks...

That said, I think that where my honeymoon ended with the QB8. Just like posters above, I play mine at 33” and tinkered with grips, reluctantly cut it from 34” to 33”. Tried other grips. Had 2 back to back bad rounds on the greens and off it went.

That's what I want to hear!

Must add I was fitted at TXG here in Toronto. They did an excellent job of finding proper length, lie, loft and adjusted them all on the spot.

Can't wait to get it on a putting green.

While it's winter up here I must live vigorously through you folks. LOL

Got the same treatment from Golf Galaxy in Downers Grove, IL. Sam putt lab fitting and they bent loft and lie on the spot all free of charge.

I was trying to schedule a fitting at the Bettinardi studio for a month but they were terrible at getting back to me.

That's too bad about Bettinardi fitting service. Seen it other times with different manufacturers.

Years ago I went to Callaway for an iron fitting and he had only 4 shafts to try. The guy was as frustrated as I was.

In the end do what you do best. Bettinardi makes some fantastic putters.

Glad you got looked after well at GG.

I gamed a blackout QB6 all of last year. I loved it, was the best putter I’d ever used, and I will never get rid of it.

I picked up a blackout Inovai 6.0 and it’s my current vote for best putter ever. It’s so damn stable.

I play both at 33” inch and the entire bottom of the qb6 is lead tape. Head weight is probably 365g. I had tungsten powder added down shaft of the Inovai and they added too much, it’s probably at 367g. I almost had them redo it, but decided to try 5 wraps of tape under the grip to get the same swingweight and I absolutely love it.

I know were coming up on year on this thread but I am curious how the black finish of the face is holding up on your qb6? I am planning on buying the 2021 qb6 blackout since my 2021 ss28 blackout the finish is coming off. I have a 2019 qb8 mid slant and told myself Ill get a studio stock this time around but the Queen keeps calling me back hahaha

Another lefty here. I recently caught the Bettinardi bug. I have a QB6 on the way and can't wait. Hopefully it lands between the SS7 that feels a bit soft and light for me and the BB54 I got that is super long and heavy. Either way it's a nice looking stick!

Glad to hear Im not the only one who feels the Studio stock line is mad soft with a really dull sound upon impact. I just ordered the blackout qb6 and I can't wait for it to arrive!!!

I used Queen B5 last year but sold it off as I felt the 362g head was too heavy for me. Really liked the feel of the face but didn't like the heavy head. Switched to Jumbo grip to make it lighter in swing weight. Worked better but still not something I wanted to bag. Plus the color on the head started to change a bit so ended up selling.

Went back to my trusted 2018 Bettinardi BB1. Just found a tour version of  Bettinardi with 350g head weight with micro-honeycomb face so might want to give that a try. Also flirting with the new Scotty Phantom X line see how that will go.

I love the finish on the QB6. I only have wear on the spots where I ground my putter and line it up. Nothing on face or elsewhere. Can’t see it at address and proves it’s a putter you use!

obviously I have more lead tape protecting the finish on the qb6 but think it’s way more durable than the finish on the inovai. Both have seen 50-75 rounds

I grabbed mine at club champion this week and could not be more pleased. I love the feel of the new Queen B #6. I also like the look of the 19, but the copper finish is just too good to pass on.

I got fit for a NP, but after I rolled a few putts with the QB6 I fell in love. So much that after I purchased my Scotty I went over to Bettinardi and bought one. I got it in last week and I just love the feel and the headcover quality is some of the best.

I’ve had the 2019 QB6 in my bag longer than any other putter since I started playing the game. There is something about 362g that is just right on the money. When I set the putter down at address, it’s just the perfect look to me.

Never been a big Scotty guy, but have had a couple. When the phantom x 11 dropped, have to admit I was a little drawn to it. Spent some time looking it up and started to get that...itch. But then yesterday, I had one of those awesome putting days and it just reminded me that I’ll never do better than the 2019 QB6. I should probably get a backup...

After my shop dinged my 2019 trying to adjust the lie, I went for the gold. It’s not overly glitzy looking like in the pics. If I had my druthers, I’d probably prefer the blackout model with white sight line like my old BC-1.
