Lol. Nice try.
Look up what the data says about mortality rate among healthy people aged 18-60 though...
Your theoretical quote is basically impossible among PGA Tour players and caddies.
This is crazy, but still understandable at the same time.
No one knows what this virus will exactly bring, and the death rate percentage keeps increasing.
I'm sure it's only a matter of time till this guy shuts down this thread like all the other Corona threads impacting golf :(
Lots of panic and chaos while all CEO's try to save their collective as$es from law suits for being the ones to stay open when everyone else closes. It's the flu, people will die from it, but certainly not worthy of shutting down the world for a month.
I know the feeling, every time I go -9 out of tournament. Stopped playing casual rounds, it was killing me, the what-ifs.
You left the cave ? Nobody leaves the cave!
Played yesterday, will play tomorrow and weekend. Seems like golf is one of the safer sports given it's open air and plenty of space to maintain social distancing.
Well said - better safe than sorry is a cliché, but in this case is very true.
I have a great monty python reference for this but it seems off color and may be considered offensive. It involves a town crier and a cart. If any one does take offense please remember that laughter is supposedly the best medicine.
It's not the flu. It's much more contagious and deadly. Listen to Rory. Today's overreaction will be tomorrow's underreaction.
Lol. I’m playing too. But theres a guy around here claiming open air can carry it .... it was Fun while it lasted.
What did McIlroy say? Today's overreaction is tomorrow's under reaction. You may not worry for yourself (being healthy) but what if you contract this and you have family who are more susceptible to the virus That's an avoidable tragedy
Nice try at asking you to explain your extremely cryptic comment? Ah. I see. You're one of those guys.
Hope the golf Channel can run some of the classic rounds of golf rather than the same old golf movies.
Wait if you left the cave, who's cranking the mystery crank?
To explain in detail breeches forums rules.
all I can say is that escalated like a brush fire....last nite we were joking about no fans on the course and tonite its no golf on the course...Hope everyone has a golf course or driving range they can escape to this weekend
Then why even go there?
Go where ? That’s the point. I didn’t say anything except ... think. Which you did.
Yeah but you didn't explain how having just players, caddies, rules officials, camera people, etc. on a giant golf course in the sun increases that risk.
If playing a pro golf tournament consisted of going into a room and hugging each other, then I agree it should be cancelled.
As is, they'll be doing more dangerous things just by passing each other in the pro shop or going to the grocery store.
Seems more like the tournament was cancelled for liability/political/money reasons than actual danger.
Because no one wants to be the one that does something “different” from what everyone else is doing........just in case. Everyone else is panicking? Well we’d better panic too. Once the NBA cancelled, it was like dominoes. The single largest case of “let’s cover our ****” in history.
World acting like it’s the plague. It isn’t.
Players are already there, fans kicked out, and they still cancel.
Time to just cancel life, everybody. There's just too much risk to yourself to be alive
A lot of babies will be made in the next couple weeks.
I like Rory, but I don’t understand why anyone is listening to him in regards to this.
All celebs are somehow getting tested, Barkley and others. Not sure what the channels are but they sure aren't being turned away.
Jack/Blade with the cryptic comments, implying he has some inside information.
Why? Its actually a chance for some adults in the room to inject some sanity into a country that currently has very little of it.
Its embarrassing watching the meltdown in this country right now. Downright embarrassing
