Yeah but you didn't explain how having just players, caddies, rules officials, camera people, etc. on a giant golf course in the sun increases that risk.

If playing a pro golf tournament consisted of going into a room and hugging each other, then I agree it should be cancelled.

As is, they'll be doing more dangerous things just by passing each other in the pro shop or going to the grocery store.

Seems more like the tournament was cancelled for liability/political/money reasons than actual danger.

Because no one wants to be the one that does something “different” from what everyone else is doing........just in case. Everyone else is panicking? Well we’d better panic too. Once the NBA cancelled, it was like dominoes. The single largest case of “let’s cover our ass” in history.
