Blue Mizuno T20 wedges - Any pics / reviews after some usage ??

Looking to possibly get Mizuno irons and want to get some T20 wedges.

the blue look intriguing. How does the blue hold up over time?

How do the wedges perform? Spin? From Sand??

Anyone have any pics of the blue ones after some usage??

The spin on them is excellent. No blue pics but I've heard it does eventually wear away, especially when used in sand. I used the satin ones at the end of 2019 and into early 2020 and was pleased. I sold them for Pings though because Ping's have a bit more forgiveness and a thinner top line.

I hit the T20s, Vokey Sm8s, and Ping Glides the ither day and I went with the Pings just because I hit them more consistently on full shots. The T20s felt great and i really loved the blue finish but the pings were just a bit more forgiving for me.

I have the blue t20's they wear some I can provide pics but I've only got like 5 rounds and no sand shots on them. Had ping glide stealth 2.0's before. I would say the pings are probably a little more forgiving spin is very good on t20's though

The blue will wear off on the bottom of the wedge. Buddy has an S18 and that is what happened with his. The face if diff., so should not be an issue?! Great wedges!

I have the S5 wedges in blue and only the sole has lost the blue. They're now the same gray color as the face. I can only assume the T20 would wear similarly.

Doesn’t the coating on the ping wedges rub off as well?

while they do wear, I don’t consider it bad at all. What will bother you more than the sole is the wear it will get if you catch one on the toe outside of the grooves.

Well my home course doesn't have sand and the other one I have play regularly I've only played twice and just haven't been in it lol

I have a blue t7 in the bag for several years now. Face and sole have lost much of the blue but it looks good. Still backing the ball up so I suppose the grooves are still good enough.

that said I like the shape of the t20 and will probably end up with one sometime this year.

Don't have any experience with the T20's, but sand will be the kicker. I like to practice bunker shots and it's worn through even my RTX 2's plain satin finish. As of now, the sole and half the face almost look raw. I would imagine that any colored finish doesn't stand a chance against consistent use in the sand.

They are sharp looking, so be prepared to get a lot of attention.

And be prepared to replace it if you ever happen leave one green side. I have never not had a club returned, until I got these blue s5’s. I’m now on my 3rd 50.

The more worn 58* has probably played ~20 rounds. The less worn 54* probably < 10 rounds. I think the scratching on the faces is partially from unwashed range balls. The backs and the hosels are still very pretty and shiny blue. Overall I'm really liking these. I also have a chrome 50*.

They replaced a set of 4yo Vokeys and for me they are just as good.

Here are some pics of my S5 58* which has about 20 rounds of use. Looking at @eastriver's pics I have the feeling that the finish is different on the T20, looks to be shiny across the entire head, whereas the S5 had a matte finish except for the back of the club. I'm really happy with the wear on mine, nice and even. Wear on the T20 above looks to have more streaks and scratches, of course it could be different sand conditions.

Yes, I’ve heard the blue wears away fast if used in combination with sand and heavy use.

i have had all of their blue wedges starting with the t5. went t5, s5, t7, s18, now t20. as the pics above, they wear on the bottom (like any color wedge does) but the blue holds up very well on all other sides. mizuno wedges are super underrated, forged goodness!

I picked up a new T7 in Blue Ion for cheap and did not care for the blue.. took to it with a little ScotchBrite pad.. just saying that the blue finish is not that thick..

Would that make it "raw" and rust? or is there still a coating on there
