This is an incredible deal, especially on drivers. Kudos to BP and PXG for this discount during these times

Was fit for and had a set of Gen3 T’s on order a couple of weeks before this discount came out. My fitter called and told me I would be getting a refund of $85 a club.

I called PXG and explained that I'd like to take advantage of the offer but hard to spend that kind of money without a fitting, and all their fitting centers are closed.

 

Rep said that I should be able to have that price honored when fitting centers open again. He is just getting back to me after speaking to manager.

 

Not sure if it matters but I've purchased Gen 1, Gen 2, driver, hybrid.

If the Gen 3 irons were being offered at a discount closer to $275 per iron, then I would probably pull the trigger... $340 is still too much of a stretch at the moment.

Bob needs to apply discount across the board. It seems discount is applied to product where sales may be weak. I would grab a mini gunboat if drops by $200.

Totally agree with you. I really doubt the Gen 3’s will sell in this environment at that price. They need to drop to at least $299, but no way are they worth a $200 up charge from Gen 2’s, unless they have some huge upgrades... :)

Shame on the other golf manufacturers who are not budging and discounting equipment.

Taylormade, Callaway, Cobra, Mizuno, Titleist remains at full price, Srixon Z785 now $299. Money is tight, bad economy and a lot of golfers who live paycheck to paycheck. All manufacturers should follow pxg and offer discounts showing some loyalty to golfers and give some price breaks

Shame? Really? How about free enterprise and capitalism for those who choose to set their own prices. I’d hate to see socialism hit the golf industry! I think it’s a great gesture from PXG. And if we were not in the midst of this health and financial crisis I would surely pull the trigger. But for me the timing just ain’t good!

Discounting equipment in tough times is not socialism it is jump starting the industry. Reality is that the industry will be impact severely, and it is not going to recover overnight. Living pay check to pay check does not equate to poor it is life for many

I was hoping to pick up the 0211 4 iron bent strong but looks like its backordered up to 4 weeks... I guess thats ok since must of us won't be able to go out and golf. For $100 id take the chance on it. Never hit a PXG club before but for the price its definitely reasonable

I am so tempted to pull the trigger on the Gen 2 0311T irons. I have a set of Gen 1 0311T irons that I bought through the Heros program.

Can anyone offer a comparison of the Gen 1 and Gen 2 0311T? Are the Gen 2s worth the upgrade?

Rod.. are you a TXG fan?? Matt and Ian do a comparison video that’s pretty informative. I have gen 1t’s as well and I had the same question before I pulled the trigger on mine. Now I want a gen 1 vs gen 3 comparison!! From my understanding the 2s are a little firmer and offer a little more ball speed but give up some feel compared to gen 1. Now I understand the gen 3, has upgraded the feel and the ball speed. My worry is I’ve heard the 3 is a smaller profile, and I’m worried about giving up the forgiveness of the gen 1 which I think is a great club!!!

After shipping and tax, it comes out to around $150. Just bought a set of gen 2 0311 and pxg charged me $60/shipping and $50 tax

Hey there sexy. Jump starting a recreational industry? That’s really important right now! While you are certainly entitled to your opinion the point I was making was that manufactures are free to drop prices if they want or not drop them. The reality of my situation is that none of those drops would entice me to buy anything new equipment right now. I’m more worried about helping my 3 sons who are all laid off right now, my employer who will be announcing major layoffs if this continues and Staying healthy. I live in So Cal and it would be incredibly hard to find a course to play today even if one wanted too So bring on the discounts or raise your prices. I could care less

I disagree with your definition of paycheck to paycheck. If you don't always have money for food and basic necessities you are living in poverty.

Living paycheck to paycheck means you have enough money to live on, but no real savings for emergencies or really big expenditures.

Either way, companies all have the right to discount or not discount their goods based on what they think is best for their bottom line or image. We don'teven know if or how any of the stuff going on will change the way our society looks at things. PXG is not driven by numbers as much as other companies. So discounting their stuff may not really effect anything. The other major OEMs are more numbers based, therefore knowing that with the strain on the economy, that they will likely see lower sales numbers they have to weigh to options. If discounting their clubs will only move a few more units, then it may not be worth it. However if sales become really stagnant then it may be worth discounting clubs to move more product. I think the other OEMs are going to be in a wait and see mode when the economy starts back up.
