Speedzone vs LTD

Has anyone else seen this comparison by TXG?

I played the F9 last season and tried my

LTD for one round with my back up set of irons.

The LTD definitely kept up to the F9 and out distanced the F9 on a couple holes. So I’m not surprised.

Thinking of bagging the LTD again and selling my Speedzone.

LTD has never left my bag for any extending period of time since I started using it about 8 months after it was introduced. I have tried and owned a great many drivers in that time but none performs better for me. Some were quite similar, but none better.

I even bought a second one. The matte black version mainly to try different shafts.

@roxald I hit my SZ 9* and LTD Pro back to back on the launch monitor.
The SZ gave me 3 mph more ball speed. At the time I was still dialing in the weights on my SZ so I was hitting it low on the face so it was spinning a little higher than I would like. Launch details below. The upper one is the SZ.

I've had my LTD in the bag 4 years now and haven't been interested in new drivers because I get optimum numbers with it and it's still very high MOI and I know nothing has surpassed it in that sense. However, I tried a SIM at the store and it was unbelievably good on mishits. Noticeably better than LTD. Strikes that I thought would lose a lot of yardage lost half or less than half what I expected based on how I hit them

Thanks for the numbers. Crazy-spin on the LTD. 400+ lower. That makes a diffence even with slower ball speed.

Same shaft in each or different setup?

I think I’m gonna try the Smoke yellow in it this year. This is probably a great head to try a Counterbalanced shaft in and I still love the feel of the ball off the LTD.

I had an LTD and loved it. I sold it, and regretted it immediately. I have been through the F9, which was also great, and now have the SZ. I have loved all the Cobra drivers, and I think each one has been a slight improvement over the previous model. While the LTD is a special driver, it is probably a small step below the SZ.

Different shafts. The SZ has the TourAD TP and the LTD has a Rogue Silver 110. Both shafts are 70g.
