Fowler and Thomas posted their left-handed match a few days ago and Koepka followed it up with this. Numbers are off the chart. 194 yards carry 100.4 mph clubhead speed with 8 iron. 293 yards carry 110.6 mph clubhead speed 12.4 degrees launch 2440 spin with a driver. Impressive.

I rememebr seeing Rickie on IG with a lefty driver and I was like this is either staged and they just handed him any club they saw on the ground or something freaky is going on right now. I straight up would love if they did an entire professional tourney where everybody plays opposite handed.

Koepka looks like a mirror image of his normal action and it appears from this he'd crush the competition with ease. DJ was very good too.

That said the headline from the Golf Digest article is beyond dumb.

he was a bit temperamental back in the day ... trained for triathlons on the side ... iirc, competed in a few at some type of amateur level ... think he lived inside a stranger's garage for a brief time while chasing his card since he didn't have money for his own place ... golf digest did an article and showed his swing from both directions ... perfect looking swing each way ...

Vijay Singh was a +2 left hander in the mid 2000s...

Didn’t have quite as beautiful a reverse c lefty....

dang I miss his [right handed] swing on the flat belly tour...

He would play a few holes lefty every pro-am if a lefty was in his group...

I know he is supposedly not nice but my wife and I met him eating brunch at sawgrass new clubhouse in 07 and he couldn’t have been more polite...

118mph clubhead speed. That is 8mph faster than than Koepka's 110mph. Ridiculous. We really need to see a full YouTube tournament of the pros playing left handed. It would be a great watch.

I think I remember him trying to convince the USGA to let him play right handed as a pro and left handed as an amatuer

I’d like to see Spieth lefty and Phil’s righty , as both are natural opposite side players.

 

this intrigues me as I’m very much ambidextrous. I write equally fast and sloppy with both hands. And as a kid in baseball hit for far more power as a lefty. But. I play golf and throw righty.

 

ive hit a playing partners driver lefty. And it wasn’t that hard. The new challenge was actually fun. So I get this totally !

I have a buddy that was right.. 4 cap ... got the shanks

played short clubs lefty for a year

went full lefty and got down to a 6

back to full righty now fwiw

but the best is ... he has six aces ... four right and two left. 5 in tournaments !

I don’t know if it is true but I heard Shaun has right hand irons in odd and then left hand irons in even numbers. I saw online he was getting fitted by txg.

they obviously understand the golf swing far more than i do. switch it the other way is all. Very impressive all of them... but Koepka, DJ and VJ looked the most natural. Like they've been doing it all their lives.
