Putter terminology that makes you smile or laugh

Just to lighten the mood during these challenging times what are things that crack you up when describing putters?

Here's my top 3:

Well Murdered Out is used in other things so it's not that bad.

 

But as always the funniest thing is when people complain about which metal is best because x is softer than y. When sound is feel.

Flow neck. It can mean anything from what you see on an old school Del Mar, to a full-round pipe neck, to a neck more like what would have been on an Anser 4. Terminology is always a big question mark and usually one that requires a picture to get a perfect idea of what someone is talking about.

Bonus term? Blade putter. What does this mean to you?

And speaking of putting terminology, I can’t stand when announcers call the green the “putting surface”. Sounds so ridiculously stupid to me.

To all the Letterkenny fans, putting surface feels like the golf equivalent of “to be fair”. ?

High/highest MOI: MOI? Ppffft. MOI doesn’t mean jack when you’re manipulating the whole putter with your hands and arms. MOI means Mother Of Indigestion. The higher the MOI a putter has, the higher the F bombs flow. Want proof? Why is it that the best putters throughout the history of this game used putters with low MOI. Fax, Crenshaw, Stockton, Nicklaus, Woods....with the possible exception of Morris Hatalsky. I got your MOI right here...

I absolutely hate when people say "This putter feels so stable". Its the most "stable" putter I have ever used.

That literally means nothing

Also sorry...I don't want to argue...BUT...the best putters in the world who make contact with the centre of the face extremely consistently don't really need higher MOI. For amateurs and people look for a little bit of added forgiveness on off centre putts, a larger MOI can help. Many pros have switched to larger MOI putter in recent years also. I bet over time this list will continue to grow.

I agree with you about high MOI putters with regards to the pro's and maybe easier to putt with but also think it's the flavor of the day, kinda like counter balancing and how long that lasted.

"HSM" is the Hole Seeking Material technology Bobby Grace used on inserts makes me smile inside!

Another is the way the young members at my Club refer to clubs (not necessary putters) as: Sticks or Wands (ie Magic Wands)

or it never gets old to say "Way to leave it close" on a missed putt left short (most passive-aggressive way to complement)

I've heard all these describe the same neck.... I'm confused! LOL

Blade to me is either a heel shafted 8802 style head or Anser style head.

Help me out with the others...
