Id put this guy into conversation as striking real fear and panic into not just the guys blocking him or iQBs, but entire teams trying to figure out how to try to handle him,

BTW, the guy in the madras shirt, bucket hat, and white socks with his weejun loafers is probably the 50's version of the WM Phoenix Open crowd. I say for me, it has to be Stephan Curry. He like Michael Jordan changed the way the game is played. He can drop 3's from outside the 3 point line that now the standard defensive setup defends way past the Arc and teams even though they hated it at the time, are now building for it. In terms of the original posters question, I would take beloved. That means you won enough to be talked about but your fans thought of you more off the golf course as well. Yes people respected Jack Nicklaus for all his victories but the guy who warmed your heart with his story seemed to always be Arnie. For me and my age group, Kobe was that respected guy. Listening to his life after basketball with his love for his daughter and switch to his family, he became not only respected for what he brought on the court but beloved. He was able to eventually capture both.

But not on LTs level. As Belechick said in 2019 and keep in mind all the greats he has seen,
