Oh wow. Would have killed to see them at Trax or Floodzone. My first show was a NYE at the Marriott in Richmond when i was 13 and started trading tapes shorty thereafter.

 

my wife asks me all the time. Would you like all the money you've spent on tix and travel and anything else in one hand or the memories of all that time. Easy for me to say the money now bc thing of all the PXG clubs i could have? Lol. Buy def a large part of life was falling them around as a teen into my 30's.

Two questions:

How does the EZ do with just one strap? I see a lot of backpack straps tend to balance poorly with just one strap on. Did you just call Sun Mountain for the order? Don’t see them as an option online.

I tried the EZ on 2.5+. I found it didn't work as well as Xstrap for one strap carry, and never could get the balance quite right for double strap carry. Xstrap is my favorite strap on any bag.

It seems fine to me, and I don't one strap it very much. And I had mentioned in the thread previously that my other bag is a SM 4.5, these are just the straps I pulled off of it.

Walking my sixth round with my CEL. Have to say that I’ve really enjoyed the straps and the balance of the bag. There is about 20% more club tangle at the bottom of the bag versus the Mizuno however. 14 clubs and a superstroke 2.0.

I had a little tangle with my mizuno k1-lo but less than I normally do with my Titleist Players 4. I didn't really notice it at the time but looking back in my round I do remember a little. That said, i carry 14 clubs and a putter with the GP tour contour sensr pro 140cc grip. And i carry the Golfstick Pro in my bag to loosen up with.

 

i thought about ditching the golfstick pro as I can't use it during my round but i hate not warming up with it.

Did you spray either of your bags with any water proofing to aid in that at all? I'm afraid to give the mizuno a spray since the color is so light. I'm afraid it may yellow or turn grungy looking

Thanks again for a great thread. After MUCH debate, I just pulled the trigger on a White/Lime Mizuno K1-LO. I am getting my club's logo embroidered on it which means it will take a little while to get here. Can't wait.

GG has 2019 SM 2.5+ on sale for $125.99 at the moment, a few colors appear to be left.

I picked one up after looking and debating for longer than I care to admit. Couldn't pass it up at that price in the color I wanted (black) and am happy with the decision so far after loading it up at home and wearing it around the house. Plenty of room for what I need to carry and not so much extra room that fills up with random crap.

My previous bag had been a Taylormade Flextech (2017 or 2018 model I believe) and I wanted something slightly smaller/lighter as I'm leaning towards carrying more and use my push cart less. I also have a Callaway Hyperlite 1+ sunday-type bag with short little legs, but it is just a little too small for a full-time or full-set bag. The 2.5+ seemed like the perfect compromise as it can fit a full set at about the same weight as the Hyperlite, and with full size legs to boot.

Will be a great bag to stare at in the corner for the next ??? weeks/months until courses open back up . . .

i debated hard about that color. really, i think all the colors look good on this bag, but it was the staff blue color or that lt gray/lime. love it. enjoy

I have a set of Seamus headcovers I really like and that was the best color to fit with them. Second choice would have been the staff one you have. BTW I found in a different thread a good spray on protectant if you are still considering using one. I am probably going to give this a shot. Figure it can't hurt. Love this thread! After a few rounds with the Mizuno K1-LO, I'm going with the Ping Craz-e Lite. I prefer thin shoulder pads and am willing to sacrifice a little club tangle and weight for strap comfort.....for now, HA! Guess I'll have another bag up for sale in the Classifieds section soon!

I've ordered a Hoofer Lite to compare against my 2.5+. Thinking the extra ball pocket and internal pocket/key clip will be handy when riding. Will post a review when it arrives.

My Ping Hoofer lite. Such a good bag. Can't believe how easy it is to use. All my clubs have midsize grips and no tangles.

Does the ping CEL have 4 full length dividers?

Played again today with the Mizuno. Figured out what I don't care about it but not enough to give it up.

 

when the legs are deployed it sits closer to the ground or angled more at 45° than most other bags. My buddy bought a (Dallas golf special) 2018 USA 2.5+ and it sits more upright. So you drop the clubs down inside more than angle then in. It also when deployed on slick surfaces like my concrete garage slides further down. Don't have to worry about that on grass on the course tho.

overall, I'd rate it a 7.5 outta 10. That's really all that bothers me so far. Still loving the straps and the bag balances just right for me.

 

for now, don't have to worry about waterproofing since we are about to really be stuck inside, as I think TN will close courses soon. Buy eventually will want to waterproof this thing. Maybe use Never Wet.

I just got a Titleist Carbon. It is a really nice bag--very similar layout to my Players4 sta-dry bag. But honestly, I am a little disappointed at the weight. I have been using a Sun Mountain Swift X, which is an awesome bag. It is well designed, functional and very light. I was hoping the Carbon would be similarly light and functional. It is heavier that the Swift X, has fewer pockets, and is missing some little touches that the Swift X has. I would love to get another Swift X, but SM doesn't seem to be making anything similar any more. Oh well.

Using a Hoofer Lite now... I don't really carry much anymore, if I walk I use a CG 3.5+... or I have a Jones Players to carry, which I love. BUT, I dont like the bottom divider of the HL as the putter (unless mallet) doesnt fit well, served better up top... Not a huge deal but I like a bag that has a little more rounded bottom divider for space... Seems not many are liking the Titleist offerings? Looking for something new possibly but don't need super light...

Mizuno came back and said they don’t recommend embroidery on the K1-LO because the material is so thin so my pro held off on ordering. In the meantime, my club (as I believe all ClubCorp clubs are) announced they are crediting 50% of all dues paid during the crisis for use on merchandise/food and beverage once the club resumes full operations. Decided to just suck it up and carry my current bag until I can get the new one effectively for free. I look forward to hearing long term reviews on both the K1 and the CEL.

Carried again today. Continue to love the K1-LO on the course. It does bother me in the garage on a slick surface the legs keep extending with the weight from the bag and annoys me. But I lay it down on my puttout mat in the garage now and not problems. Straps still seem like the best for me. I really wanted to put on my buddies new 2018 SM 2.5 but In today's world, not worth it with Covid 19 scare. I have been taking out the golfstick pro that last two rounds and while lighter (of course) I'm finding the room is so much better in the top compartment than with it. I was hoping to carry it, so 15 clubs but I have been warming up with it and waking it back to my truck before the round begins. No need for extra weight and possible tangle.
